In the latest promo for Kaun Banega Crorepati, Bollywood star Aamir Khan shares a heartwarming story about Amitabh Bachchan and his father, the renowned poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. Aamir is set to appear on the show in celebration of Amitabh’s 82nd birthday. During the episode, the two stars discuss an interesting belief Harivansh Rai had regarding Amitabh’s birth.
Aamir Khan recounted an anecdote from the day of Amitabh Bachchan’s birth, October 11, 1942. Harivansh Rai Bachchan had a vivid dream that day, and he believed that Amitabh was the reincarnation of his own father, Pratap Narayan Shrivastav. Aamir shared that, as Teji Bachchan (Amitabh’s mother) went into labor, Harivansh confidently told her that their son would be born and that he would carry the soul of his father.
During the promo, Aamir asked Amitabh, “Do you remember the day you were born?” to which Amitabh looked puzzled. Aamir then read from what appears to be a passage written by Harivansh Rai Bachchan, detailing the events of Amitabh’s birth. The passage revealed that Harivansh Rai had shared his dream with Teji while she was in labor, telling her, “You will have a boy, and my father’s soul is coming in his form.”
