In a grand celebration that brought together prominent figures from Indian society, cricketer Rinku Singh and Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj were engaged on Sunday.
The festivities, held at a capital city hotel, quickly became a social media sensation, with a viral video showing Rinku Singh enjoying Priya Saroj dancing alongside their guests.
The engagement drew a significant presence of top Samajwadi Party leaders, including party president and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and his wife, MP Dimple Yadav. Other notable attendees included senior politicians such as Rajeev Shukla, Jaya Bachchan, Shivpal Yadav, and Ramgopal Yadav, as well as fellow cricketer Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Following the event, SP MP Awadhesh Prasad extended his warm congratulations to the newly engaged couple, expressing his best wishes for their future happiness. Priya Saroj’s father, Tufani Saroj, who is also an SP MLA from the Kerakat assembly constituency, shared that the celebrations had begun on Saturday night. According to family sources, the event featured an entirely vegetarian menu.
