The legendary actor and founder of political party DMDK, Captain Vijayakanth (71 yrs) passed away in a hospital in Chennai after testing COVID-19 positive. Many big actors and politicians of the country especially of Tamil Nadu paid their tribute to the mortal remains of Vijayakanth before his last rites were carried out on Friday.
However, a controversy also erupted as someone from the crowd threw slipper at actor Vijay when he came to pay respect to the mortal remains of Captain Vijayakanth. Though the slipper hit the actor, he didn’t look back and the person who was with the actor threw the slipper in the same direction from where it came.

There is no information regarding the person who threw the slipper at Vijay as of now.
Before entering politics, Captain Vijayakanth entertained the audiences with his performances in Vallarasu, Chatriyan, Sattam Oru Iruttarai, Honest Raj, etc. and his fans started adding Captain to his name after the success of his movie, Captain Prabhakaran which released in 1991.
