Actor Vineet Kumar Singh, celebrated for his roles in Mukkabaaz and Chhaava, safely arrived in Mumbai early Tuesday morning. He had been stranded at Dubai Airport due to an unexpected airspace closure over parts of the Middle East, finally touching down at approximately 3:45 AM IST.
Concern for the actor arose on Monday night when he posted an update from Dubai Airport, just as news broke that the UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar had closed sections of their airspace. His Instagram Story, shared at 9:23 PM Dubai time, simply stated, “I am at Dubai Airport. 9:23pm Dubai Time. Immigration done. Waiting at the Gate for my flight. Fingers crossed.”
Speaking to a news portal about the tense situation, Vineet Kumar Singh recalled, “We were clueless around 10:00pm.” His flight was originally scheduled to depart at 9:40 PM, but the sudden developments left passengers uncertain about their takeoff.
He further added, “Then we got the news that boarding started. Flight takeoff [was] little late but everything was fine. Emirates Airlines and Dubai airport staff helped everyone,” praising the ground staff for their calm and efficient handling of the situation amidst the uncertainty.
Fortunately, Vineet’s flight was among those that were eventually able to depart, albeit with some delay. The actor is now back in Mumbai and confirmed to be safe.
