A group of tourists was shot at by gunmen in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. An eyewitness to the attack, a woman described the events as a shooter targeted her husband. One of the survivors of the Pahalgam terror attack recalled in a trembling voice, “We were just having bhelpuri… and then he shot my husband.” On Tuesday, gunmen opened fire on a group of tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, killing one and injuring many others, including her husband.

“The gunman said my husband was not a Muslim and then shot him,” she said, still in shock.

Another video taken at the scene showed a woman crying hysterically and begging for help. “Please save my husband,” she shouted repeatedly, her words barely audible as tears choked her.

Even as he tried to make sense of the chaos around him, the man filming the video could be heard trying to console her. Nearby, two men covered in blood lay still on the ground.

In another clip, a woman tending to a man with severe injuries pleaded urgently for help. “Sir, please, please, please ask for help,” she said, her voice cracking.

A weary gunman fired upon a group of tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The incident has injured twelve people.

The attack happened in Pahalgam’s Baisaran Valley, a popular tourist destination. The only ways to get to the location are on foot or with horses.

Security officers rushed to the scene following the terrorist attack.

The Resistance Front (TRF), a Lashkar-E-Taiba associate, has taken responsibility for the attack.

The terror incident in Pahalgam was condemned by Mehbooba Mufti, the leader of the People’s Democratic Party. “I strongly condemn the cowardly attack on tourists in Pahalgam, which tragically killed one and injured several. Such violence is unacceptable and must be denounced,” she wrote in X
