On June 29, at around 4 PM, a sizable crowd, including youngsters, attacked the BJP office in the Bishnupur district.

An angry mob burned effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and CM Biren Singh in front of the Bishnupur district police station at around 4 PM, damaging the BJP office and denouncing the obstruction Congress leader Rahul Gandhi experienced while travelling from Moirang to Churachanpur.

According to sources, the mob attempted to set the local BJP office on fire, and in the process, half of the office was damaged. On the other side, police stopped and scattered them with numerous rounds of tear gas shells.

The crowd chanted “Narendra Modi Down Down, Amit Shah Down Down” as well. In a separate incident, police deployed multiple bursts of tear gas to disperse a mob that had formed near the BJP regional office in Imphal, Manipur.

This comes after tens of thousands of people protested the killing of two people in the Haraothel village, which is adjacent to the Kangpokpi district, on the streets.

The tournament will start on 5 October with New Zealand (finalist of the 2019 World Cup) and England (winner of the 2019 World Cup) clashing against each other at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad and reports suggest that 60-90 percent of the hotel rooms of 5-star hotels are already booked for the match days.

Punit Baijal, the general manager of Hyatt Regency, Ahmedabad told a news agency, “About 80% (rooms) for the match days are sold. For the opening ceremony, and the first match between England and New Zealand, bookings have already been made by travel agencies from England and major corporations.”

There is no denying the fact that Ahmedabad will be jam-packed for the match between India and Pakistan which will be played on 15 October at Narendra Modi Stadium.

The General Manager of ITC Narmada, Keenan McKenzie stated, “There is also great traction for the match between India and Pakistan, likely on October 15. Bookings have already been made for the October 13-16 period and hotel rooms in the city are expected to be sold out on most match days.”

This new functionality will allow small companies to engage with their consumers via WhatsApp business accounts and effortlessly drive them to product advertisements on Facebook and Instagram without the requirement for other platforms to register accounts.

“Within the next few weeks, the WhatsApp Business app’s 200 million+ users will be able to create Facebook and Instagram ads to find and connect with new customers without requiring a Facebook account.” In addition, we’re unveiling new paid messaging services to help small companies engage customers more effectively,” Zukerberg stated in his piece.

According to Meta’s official statement, once the functionality is available, businesses will be able to create, purchase, and post a Facebook or Instagram ad straight within the WhatsApp Business app. This means that the company will not need a Facebook account. Some Delhi University institutions have set rules for the live telecast of the varsity’s centenary festivities, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend, including no black clothes, mandatory attendance, and class suspension from 10 am to 12 pm.

On June 30, Modi will be the chief guest at the Delhi University’s (DU) centenary celebration’s closing ceremony.

Students and teachers at Hindu College, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, and Zakir Husain Delhi College are required to watch the event’s live telecast.

Meenu Srivastava, the instructor in charge at Hindu College, outlined seven rules in a notice that was published on Wednesday. She also mentioned that students would receive five attendance points for watching the live stream.

“During the live streaming of the event, all students must be present. The entrance to the college should be completed by the start of the first period, which is between 8:50 and 9 am, in order to prevent any traffic backups or disruptions later on the DU campus, according to the rules.

“You must have your I-card with you. That day, no black dresses are permitted. They stated that attendance was required of all students and that they would receive five attendance credits for watching the live stream.

Anju Srivastava, the principal of Hindu College, responded that no such notification had been given by the administration when asked about it.

PTI contacted the presidents of numerous other varsity colleges. They insisted that there was no attendance for the event and that they had merely “requested” that the staff and students come.

The management of Delhi University further stressed that attendance was not required; noting that a live broadcast had been planned so that those who could not attend may still participate.
