The 51-year-old  said on Instagram, “My girl had a girl of her very own today. Tony Drewitt-Barlow and I could not be prouder of Saffron Drewitt-Barlow and Conor Tucker for producing this beautiful Princess for our family. This is our first granddaughter, so we have a new princess to spoil.”

Barrie told the media, “I’m extremely proud of both Saffron and her husband Conor. They go together like a glove. It will be fun to pamper another princess.

“I just bought her a new house worth flm this weekend, and I’ve instructed a team of interior designers to go in and completely renovate it for her,” he said. Recently, [Aspen Saffron’s brother] bought them a £5,000 Dior pushchair and pram.

The character limit for messages on Elon Musk’s Twitter has increased yet again, this time to 25,000 characters for subscribers to the premium Blue verification badge service. Following two previous increases, the character limit was raised to 4,000 in February (2023) and then to 10,000 in April (2023).

Last week, Twitter developer Prachi Poddar tweeted about the change and said, “We have raised NoteTweet (aka longform Tweet) capacity from 10k to 25k characters. Happy tweeting and enjoy the extended NoteTweet. Additionally, the business updated its Twitter Blue page to reflect this change, alerting users that Blue customers may now create tweets with up to 25,000 characters. Also accessible in quote tweets and responses is the possibility to create lengthier tweets.

Twitter has increased both the character limit and the ability for Twitter Blue subscribers to submit lengthier videos. Paid customers have had access to uploading 60-minute 1080p films on the platform since December of the previous year.

There are rumors that Twitter is considering reducing the daily cap on direct messages (DMs) sent by non-Blue users. A neurologist and a philosopher made a bet in 1998. They decided the winner 25 years later.

The day after neuroscientist Christof Koch spoke at a consciousness conference, philosopher David Chalmers had a lengthy talk with Koch. After a few beers at a Bremen, Germany tavern, they argued and bet.

By the year 2023, Koch argued, someone would have figured out how the brain’s neurons generate consciousness.

Chalmers was subsequently named the winner at the Association for the Scientific Study of Consciousness (ASSC) annual meeting in New York City.

After a research examining two popular theories about “the neural basis of consciousness” was presented, the years-long wager came to an end.

Global network workspace theory (GNWT) and integrated information theory (IIT) both put out these concepts.

IIT defines consciousness as a “structure” in the brain consisting of a neuronal link that is active during an experience, such seeing at a picture. This structure may be in the brain’s posterior cortex.

GNWT suggested that awareness arises when information is transferred to different brain regions via a network. Transmission at the start and end of an event is assumed to involve the prefrontal cortex in the front of the brain.

The results of six labs did not “exactly match” either concept.

It was always, according to Chalmers, a “relatively good bet” for him and a risky one for Christof. He agreed that there has been significant advancement in the area and that a solution would be discovered shortly.

According to Chalmers, “it began as a very significant philosophical mystery.”

But through time, it has changed into something we can at least partially understand scientifically, if not a “scientific” mystery.

Koch honored the betand purchased Chalmers a “case of fine Portuguese wine” the day before the ASSC session, despite his reluctance to accept defeat.

Additionally, he was prepared to double down on the bet with a window of another 25 years.

Koch is a neurophysiologist and computational neuroscientist who is German-American. In the 1980s, he began looking for the neurological correlates of consciousness. Since then, he has focused on finding the neurons required to “generate a feeling of seeing, hearing, or wanting.”

In 1998, David Chalmers and Christof Koch made a bet on the neural basis of consciousness, arguing that by 2023, someone would have figured out how brain neurons generate consciousness. Chalmers was named the winner at the ASSC annual meeting after examining two popular theories: Global network workspace theory (GNWT) and integrated information theory (IIT).

chief.

When a female resident of the paying guest (PG) facility in Delhi filed a
complaint alleging sexual harassment, the Delhi Commission for Women
(DCW) urged that Delhi police take action against the accused.
Following a report that a PG resident had witnessed the lad outside the
establishment masturbating while she was on the balcony with her female
friends, DCW issued the warning.
Delhi Police received a notice with the date June 19 requesting action be
taken in the situation. At that time, Delhi Police did not respond. But on
Wednesday, June 28, Swati Maliwal tweeted that Delhi Police had reported
the incident and provided additional case updates.

Garo people who do not reside in Meghalaya would no longer be permitted to seek for positions with the state’s government.

According to the 1972 employment reservation policy, 15% of positions must be held for state residents, 5% for other tribes, and the rest 80% must be reserved for Khasi (40%) and Garo (40%) employees.

In accordance with the 1972 employment reservation policy, non-resident Garo tribal members will not be permitted to apply for state government posts, according to an office memorandum (OM) authorized by the Meghalaya cabinet on Tuesday.

80% of jobs must be allocated for Khasi (40%) and Garo (40%), 5% for other tribes, and the remaining 15% for non-tribal residents of the state, according to the 1972 job reservation policy.

The 1974 OM will be disregarded because it has been noted that eligible Garo candidates who are (not) available from inside the state have filled the majority of the positions designated for Garo categories. Therefore, Ampareen Lyngdoh, a cabinet minister and spokesperson for the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) 2.0, informed the media after the meeting that we have removed the OM that had permitted Garos who resided outside of the state of Meghalaya to be eligible to apply for positions in the state of Meghalaya.

She continued by saying that the cabinet has also changed the other OMs for the personnel department’s reservation roster and policy.

In the new scenario, she explained, “we were now able to omit some incorrect OMs that were issued in the previous year’s regarding the implementation of the roster in the state of Meghalaya.”

She mentioned that the 2020 OM on the reservation roster for people with disabilities (PwDs) had also been examined and changed. It was then informed. However, the reservation for people with disabilities has been fixed in accordance with specific places in the reserve roster as of the issuance of the new OM on June 14, 2023, thus the prior OM will not be applicable.

The minister noted that a proviso has been introduced to the new reservation roster by mandating that candidates for the various types of positions be hired with knowledge of the local language. According to the minister, “it has been found necessary that this incorporating a qualification paper that is knowledge of local language to be included in the recruitment of categories of posts which fall under the purview of the district selection committees (DSCs),”
