Elon Musk’s net worth dropped $11.1 billion in just one day due to Tesla’s stock, which had risen over 100% in 2023. The stock’s increase was partly due to Tesla profiting from artificial intelligence. The stock’s recent gains have boosted Musk’s net worth, recapturing his title as the world’s richest person.

Elon Musk had enjoyed an over $90 billion rise in his wealth this year. But, he has now suffered a loss of $11.1 billion in just one day, due to Tesla’s stock.

Tesla’s stock, which have enjoyed a jump of over 100% in 2023 so far, bled heavily on June 26, 2023. Due to this, the company’s CEO Elon Musk suffered a huge fall in his networth.  Elon Musk’s networth lost $11.1 billion on June 26, and is  is $219 billion now.

But, the brokerages’ price targets were raised to reflect the momentum in Tesla stock, which have grown over 120% this year. The stock’s increase has been partly attributed by brokerages to Tesla profiting from the tremendous interest in artificial intelligence.

In the past two months, a number of good news stories have benefited Tesla’s stock, including agreements with rival manufacturers Ford and General Motors to obtain access to its charging network, a move that might make its chargers the industry standard.
For Musk, the past few months have been quite unpredictable.

Musk lost $200 billion last year, and Bernard Arnault. became the world’s richest man.

But, the Tesla boss has regained the title of world’s richest
person and revealed major plans for the company and his other enterprises thanks to Tesla shares’ $90 billion boost in net worth.

Telegram to introduce new “Stories” feature to boost user interaction, discuss life lessons

0

Telegram, the popular messaging app will soon add a new feature called “Stories” to its platform, according to its CEO Pavel Durov.

He says the much-desired feature would be made accessible to Telegram users in early July. More than half of the feature requests the firm receives are connected to Stories, according to the CEO, who noted that users have long voiced a desire for Stories to be available on Telegram. Telegram hopes that the addition of this feature will improve user interaction and provide users a place to discuss special occasions and life lessons.

Users will have exact control over the audience for their stories using Telegram’s Stories feature. Users may decide whether to share their tales with all of their connections, just some of them, all of their contacts with certain exclusions, or only a specified group of Close Friends. In order to give users complete control over their material, Telegram will also provide them the ability to move any contact’s tales posted to the “Hidden” list in the Contacts area.

Regarding the capabilities for altering photos and videos, the new Telegram tales feature will let users add context, links, and subtitles to their tales. Users will get the option to tag other people in their tales, which will increase the feature’s interactivity.

Durov emphasized that by adding the capability to share images and videos simultaneously shot by the front and back cameras, Telegram is expanding on the popularity of its Video Messages function. Users will be able to produce more dynamic and interesting narrative material thanks to this innovation.

Additionally, Telegram Stories will provide users freedom over the length of their stories. Users can pick between six, twelve, twenty-four, or forty-eight hours for their tales to expire. Users also have the option to permanently post their tales on their profile pages, each with its own privacy settings.

Durov also stressed the advantages that channel owners on Telegram will get from the new Stories feature. It is anticipated that the option to repost messages from channels to stories would improve visibility and draw more members to channels once it is released. With this improvement, it will be simpler for platform content from channels to become viral.

Telegram hopes to give its users a dynamic and engaging method to share their experiences while retaining control over their privacy and audience with the impending introduction of Stories. The new function is intended to improve Telegram’s messaging capabilities and meet the community’s changing demands.

Chinese scientists dig 10,000-meter hole into Earth’s crust; Know why

0

Chinese scientists are digging a 10,000-meter hole into Earth’s crust. The world’s second-largest economy keeps probing Earth’s surface and depths, as it explores new frontiers.

China launched its first civilian astronaut from the Gobi Desert Tuesday, which was also the day when China’s oil-rich Xinjiang province began excavating the country’s deepest borehole.

According to the study, the narrow shaft would pass through more than 10 continental strata, or rock layers, before arriving at the cretaceous system in the Earth’s crust, which includes rock that is around 145 million years old.

According to Sun Jinsheng, a physicist at the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a huge vehicle operated on two thin steel wires may be used as an analogue for the drilling project’s structural complexity.

When meeting with some of the country’s leading specialists in 2021, President Xi Jinping urged for continued advances in deep Earth research. Such research may help by discovering mineral and energy resources as well as analyzing the risks of environmental disasters like earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.

The Russian Kola Superdeep Borehole remains the deepest man-made hole on Earth, having taken 20 years to drill to a depth of 12,262 meters (40,230 ft).

Conclusion:

Chinese scientists are digging a 10,000-meter hole into the Earth’s crust, the country’s deepest borehole to yet. The project will traverse eleven continental layers before arriving at the cretaceous system, which contains 145 million year old rock. The building intricacy of the drilling project can be compared to a vehicle driving on tiny steel wires. President Xi Jinping has urged for more deep Earth research in 2021, with the goal of identifying mineral and energy resources and assessing environmental risks. The Russian Kola Superdeep Borehole is still the world’s deepest man-made hole.

ChatGPT Vs Bard: Know which is better for AI-generated content

0

When it came to AI-generated content, ChatGPT was initially the most used chatbot. But, Google’s answer to ChatGPT was Bard. There are differences between two despite the fact that they could carry out comparable activities.

ChatGPT Vs Bard: OpenAI’s ChatGPT was introduced in November last year, and it soon gained popularity online. In a duel between the digital giants, Google introduced Bard, its own chatbot powered by AI.

After ChatGPT was launched, people sought ways to use AI-generated content and technology to realize professional, educational, and personal goals. However, AI experts warned that incorrect data sources may complicate content. Content creation has pros and cons.

Microsoft announced a multiyear partnership with OpenAI to advance AI.

Alphabet, Google’s parent firm, says Bard is Google’s answer  to ChatGPT.

Despite their similarities, the two AI technologies differ greatly.

ChatGPT uses machine learning to answer queries naturally. OpenAI released ChatGPT November 30, 2022. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said ChatGPT garnered a million users in five days.

Pattern-finding algorithm “GPT” examines data sequences. ChatGPT uses the GPT-3.5 language model, trained on human-written online text. ChatGPT Plus uses GPT-4. ChatGPT answers user questions using the AI language model.

AI-produced ChatGPT examples:

    Writen code.
    Product description.
    Blog posts.
    Draft emails.
    Meeting, podcast, and transcript summaries.
    Complex topics simplified.
    Translations.
    Jokes, memes.
    Social media posts.

Academics and teachers wondered how to prevent cheating with ChatGPT’s persuasive compositions. In response, OpenAI introduced an AI text classifier in January 2023.

Google Bard employs natural language processing and machine learning to simulate human conversations. Bard used Google’s PaLM 2 (Pathways Language Model) for conversation apps. This model outperforms previous models in logic, mathematics, and common sense, according to a Google blog post.  The maker said the new gadget is faster. Bard’s language model provides deeper answers than Google.

Bard’s goal is to provide information in a transparent manner, with links for people to learn more, like Alexa and Siri. Bard helps with bookings, excursions, and meal preparation as a personal assistant. Bard searches using natural language, unlike search engines. Bard offers three-language information in 180 countries.

How do Bard and ChatGPT differ?

ChatGPT and Bard’s services answer questions like humans.

But, the two differ mostly in data source. Bard checks the internet for updates. ChatGPT lacks current data and analysis because to its 2021 sources. Bard has more data and faster insights by employing the latest research.

Bard uses the latest Google language model, PaLM 2. ChatGPT Plus’s premium edition uses GPT-3.5 and GPT-4.

ChatGPT creates content in response to a text query, while Bard generates bigger chunks.

ChatGPT Vs Bard:

ChatGPT efficiently summarizes text queries. Bard gives more relevant answers. Adjustments may be made as users show these chatbots what they need.

AI content creators abound. Wordtune, ChatSonic, Jasper, and Open Assistant are also launching their own projects. Baidu’s Ernie Bot uses AI.

AI in marketing is expanding quickly and finding new uses in customer service, email optimization, product suggestions, and social media postings.

Zero unicorns in India since last six months; Know why

0

India hasn’t produced a single startup unicorn since 2023 started. In September 2022, Goa-based Molbio Diagnostics received funds at a $1.6 billion valuation, becoming India’s last $1 billion business. No Indian company has raised money beyond $1 billion since then.

India produced a record 43 unicorn businesses in 2021 and 22 last year. But, the country hasn’t produced a unicorn this year.

India’s startup downturn coincides with IT industry shrinkage worldwide. Google, Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, and Twitter have laid off tens of thousands of people, while startups like Stripe have drastically cut their valuations. China, the second-largest unicorn producer behind the US, hasn’t generated one in nine months.

India, which has the third-most unicorns, hasn’t created any new unicorns in five months, and its unicorns aren’t doing well either.

Nearly a dozen Indian unicorns removed thousands of workers this year. B2B e-commerce startup Moglix lay off roughly 40 staff in the first week of 2023, followed by Ola, Unacademy, Lead School, and CoinDCX. Soon after, Sharechat fired off 500 people and Rebel Foods, which makes Faasos, Behrouz Biryani, and Ovenstory, laid off 2%. Swiggy lay off 380 workers and Dealshare 100.

Startup cycles often have these figures. Investors finance hundreds of potential startups during cheap interest rates. However, the enthusiasm often leads to unsustainable valuations for many companies that may not be viable enterprises. Investors draw back, chilling the ecosystem, before investing again in a few years. In 2017-18, India saw thousands of layoffs and shutdowns and no unicorns for 18 months. In 2021, the ecosystem rebounded and produced more unicorns than ever before. Indian startups may soon see green shoots after another financing winter.

Conclusion:

No startup unicorn has been formed in India since 2013 began. The country’s startup slump coincides with a global decline in the technology industry, with many tech giants letting go thousands of workers. India’s unicorn population is also struggling, with nearly a dozen Indian unicorns sacking thousands of workers as of 2023. This trend is consistent with the global decline in unicorns, with investors often pulling back on unreasonably high valuations for companies that may not have the capacity to succeed. India experienced a similar decline in 2017-18, with thousands of layoffs and business closures.

However, the ecosystem recovered in 2021, producing more unicorns in a single year than in all preceding years combined. While India may now experience another financing winter, green shoots may return to the startup scene.

Diabetes and it’s Complications: Things you need to know to stay healthy

According to the International Diabetes Federation, diabetes can lead
to various health complications, and it is crucial to be aware of the risks
associated with the disease. This article highlights some of the key points on
diabetes complications and how to prevent them.
With around 80 million people suffering from the metabolic disease, India is
considered as the world’s diabetes capital. By 2045, the number of diabetes
is expected to reach 135 million. According to a recent data from the
International Diabetes Federation (IDF), the number of diabetics has grown
by 16% during 2019.

Impaired Glucose Tolerance (IGT):

According to IDF study, 40 million people in India have Impaired Glucose Tolerance (IGT), putting them at risk of developing diabetes. This is the world’s second highest figure behind the United States. More than half (53.1%) of diabetes patients in India remain undiagnosed. Diabetes, if left untreated, can lead to significant and life-threatening consequences such as heart attack, stroke, renal failure, blindness, and lower-limb amputation. The research notes that this results in lower quality of life and increased healthcare expenses, as well as a larger demand for access to treatment, calling our attention to one of the least discussed aspects of diabetes—the problems that arise from it.

Cardiovascular Danger:

Diabetes increases the risk of heart disease. High blood
sugar impairs the capacity of blood arteries to enable blood
to circulate. It causes harm to the heart’s blood vessels and
nerves. Additional health concerns such as high cholesterol,
diabetes, and high blood pressure also raise the risk of heart
disease.

Kidney Failure:

Diabetes patients should be aware of renal problems. The
symptoms of kidney disease are frequently neglected, and
by the time they become significant, the disease has already
advanced to a life-threatening condition. Diabetes is frequently
associated with kidney damage.

Damage To The Nerves:

Diabetic neuropathy is a condition caused by diabetes. The
nerves are harmed in this circumstance due to the elevated
blood sugar level. These nerves stop delivering signals to
body parts as a result of the injury, impairing the functioning
of the body organs. Retinopathy is one of the most prevalent
complications of diabetic neuropathy.

Depression:

Diabetes and depression appear to be inextricably linked.
While diabetes has a biological link to the beginning of
depression, the misconceptions surrounding diabetes, as well
as the worry that these beliefs produce, often discourages and
frustrates the patient. Diabetes, it goes without saying, has a
negative impact on physical health, and when combined with
stress and worry, it has a negative impact on mental health as
well.

Dental Health:

Diabetes can cause dry mouth by reducing saliva output,
making the mouth an ideal breeding ground for bacteria.
Diabetes causes the gums to become inflamed and bleed often.
Also, due of diabetes, mouth sores will heal more slowly

Sexual Problems:

Blood supply to the sexual organs is diminished as a result of
nerve and blood vessel injury, resulting in loss of sensation
or difficulties becoming aroused. As a result, when blood
sugar levels are high, both men and women’s sexual urge is
diminished.

KEY FACTS

  • The number of people with diabetes rose from 108
million in 1980 to 422 million in 2014. Prevalence has
been rising more rapidly in low- and middle-income
    countries than in high-income countries.
  • Diabetes is a major cause of blindness, kidney failure,
heart attacks, stroke and lower limb amputation.
  • Between 2000 and 2019, there was a 3% increase in
    diabetes mortality rates by age.
  • In 2019, diabetes and kidney disease due to diabetes
caused an estimated 2 million deaths.
  • A healthy diet, regular physical activity, maintaining
a normal body weight and avoiding tobacco use are
ways to prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes.
  • Diabetes can be treated and its consequences
avoided or delayed with diet, physical activity,
medication and regular screening and treatment for
    complications.
