Amazing story of Unacademy’s co-founder Roman Saini who became a doctor at 16

0

The journey of Roman Saini, co-founder of Unacademy, so far seems like a myth. First he became a doctor at the age of just 16. After this, IAS at the age of 22 and then a successful entrepreneur shortly after. Roman Saini’s journey is interesting.

Some aspire to be doctors, while others want to be engineers. Many people desire to sit in the officer’s chair. Yet for some, this is simply a halt. Roman Saini is the name of one such young man. Roman Saini is a physician. He is a former IAS. And now a successful business owner. At the age of 16, Roman Saini passed the most challenging AIIMS test. After that, at the age of 22, he passed the UPSC Civil Services Examination and was appointed as an IAS officer. Yet, becoming an IAS was only the first step. Immediately after retiring from the IAS, he founded Unacademy, which has a current net value of more than 15000 crores.

Roman Saini, the co-founder of Unacademy, comes from Rajasthan. His father is an engineer, while his mother is a housewife. After completing his MBBS, Roman served as a junior resident at AIIMS’s NDDTC. For every young person, this is a pipe dream. So where were the Romans supposed to dwell in this town? I left my job after only 6 months and set out to fly the UPSC flag. He became an IAS officer at the age of 22 after passing the UPSC Civil Services Test. At the Civil Services Test, he was ranked 18th in the entire country. In Madhya Pradesh, he was appointed as a collector.

Roman Saini says in one of his interviews that when he went to certain medical camps as a doctor in 2011, he learned that poverty is a really harmful thing. Individuals were unaware of their health, sanitation, and water issues. They needed to be diagnosed. Yet I was unable to remove these difficulties as a doctor. At the same time, it was decided that joining the civil service is required.

For a long time, Roman Saini disliked the IAS chair. He quickly resigned from his position and co-founded Unacademy with his pals (headquarter of Unacademy is in Bangalore). This company’s annual revenue has now surpassed 15000 crores.

Online education portal Unacademy is immensely popular among the youth. The goal of founding this business was to give a forum for UPSC tutoring for students. They do not need to invest millions of rupees on this.

Qualification Possibilities for India in the ICC World Test Championship Final After AUS Defeat India

0

Following India’s 9-wicket defeat against Australia in the third Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the World Test Championship (WTC) Final qualification has changed drastically.

With Australia securing their spot in the final, India will have to wait for the series to finish to determine their ultimate destiny. Going into the fourth Test, which is scheduled to start on 9th March, India must secure a 3-1 victory over Australia to book their spot in the WTC Final.

If the fourth Test ends in a draw, then the focus shifts to New Zealand, where Sri Lanka will have to win 2-0 in their series against the Kiwis in order to have any chance of qualifying for the WTC Final.

The same scenario applies if India loses the fourth Test. Therefore, Sri Lanka will have to win 2-0 over New Zealand to have any chance of reaching the final of WTC Final.

How the Union Budget 2023 aims to fortify India against global recession

0

The Union Budget ideas for 2023-24 have the ability to propel India’s economic development and increase its investment appeal. These ideas indicate the government’s commitment to carrying on the changes that began almost eight years ago.

The Union Budget ideas for 2023-24 have the ability to propel India’s economic development and increase its investment appeal.

Yet, it must be remembered that the global recession remains a major issue that might have an influence on the global economy and supply chain.

Additionally, the substantial upheavals in the cryptocurrency and stock markets in 2022 cannot be ignored.

As has been witnessed in the last year, markets are likely to be sensitive to these occurrences, which may result in short-term volatility and a fall in investor mood.

Despite this, India’s latest Union Budget illustrates the country’s strength and stability, positioning the country as a leader among growing economies in terms of prospects and economic potential.

India’s place in the global doomsday scenario

The Union Budget plans underscore the government’s goal to mobilise funds for the creation of ‘sustainable cities’. The announcements emphasise green and clean urban growth, good governance, and a transparent financial system. The government has also expanded infrastructure expenditure and offered agricultural incentives. The crucial policy rate hikes in 2022 and 2023 indicate that the RBI is regaining control of reserves and slowing money flow. India has expanded its oil exports from encircled Russia, thus improving bilateral commercial relations.

The country’s food production has remained constant, with a surplus for exports. These incentives and policies will only serve to improve India’s business environment for enterprises and investors.

What is in store for us?

According to preliminary official predictions, India’s GDP would stay between 6 and 6.9 percent in fiscal year 2023-24.

The World Bank has also raised its previous forecast for this fiscal year from 6.5 percent to 6.9 percent.

The main worries are the Ukrainian conflict and the restoration of pandemic-related restrictions in several nations, including China and the United States.

Nonetheless, India’s massive vaccination programme, which has already reached 70% of the population, is a source of comfort.

As a result, in the case of another round of supply chain interruptions, India’s long-planned new trade partnerships and route development will come in handy.

What should be done?

Given the global crisis, the country must be prepared for slower economic growth than previously projected. While developing fiscal and monetary policies, the government should account for a changing circumstance.

With inflation expected to be a concern throughout 2023, the nation will need to come up with new strategies to keep food costs under control.

The proposed budget is a step in the right direction. The country is far more resilient as a result of solid leadership and thorough economic planning with a hands-on attitude by the RBI and economic stakeholders during the previous several years and the epidemic.

The recession that is projected to occur as a result of weakening economies in the United States and Europe may not be as severe as the one that occurred in 2008-09.

A test series is under underway between India and Australia. The entire world is watching this series right now because it will determine which two sides will compete in the ICC World Test Championship final in June of this year. T20 and ODIs are always exciting, but it is highly rare in Test cricket to not know which team is gaining weight until the final ball of the match. This is why, in a thrilling Test match, New Zealand defeated England’s chariot of victory by one run.

The fact that this was only the second time in Test cricket history where the difference between victory and defeat was only one run says eloquently about the significance of this match.

Looking at the ICC World Test Championship point chart, we can observe that after defeating India in two consecutive matches, Australia is placed top. With 123 points and a win percentage of 64.06, Team India is ranked second behind Australia.

Despite the fact that India and Australia have both qualified for the final, no team’s place in the tournament has been confirmed, according to the statistics. This team has 76 points thus far and a winning percentage of 48.72. Simultaneously, England and New Zealand have no other competitors for the final.

While England was already out of contention for the final, the team performed admirably after that. That is, Team India’s health has not been harmed by New Zealand’s one-run victory or England’s defeat. If India wins the third Test, which will take place in Indore, it will go to the final.

England is currently ranked fifth in the world, with 124 points and a winning percentage of 46.97. England needed 258 runs to win but only got 256 after losing all of their wickets in 74.2 overs. That is, England had to settle for a one-run loss.

Rising assaults prompt Jharkhand doctors to boycott work

0

The associations have urged that the Medical Protection Act be implemented in the state and that the Clinical Establishment Act be revised as soon as possible to safeguard doctors.

Health services in private and government hospitals throughout Jharkhand were halted as a large number of registered physicians staged a token boycott of services in protest of the state’s recurrent assaults on medicos. The boycott does not apply to emergency services, according to the Jharkhand Health Service Association (JHSA) and the Jharkhand chapter of the Indian Medical Association (IMA).

The associations have urged that the Medical Protection Act be adopted in the state and the Clinical Establishment Act be revised as soon as possible to provide doctors with better security.

The protest followed the assassination of prominent Ranchi orthopaedic physician Anchal Kumar at his home by unidentified miscreants.

Because of this, the sadar hospital and the outpatient department (OPD) of Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) in Jhrkhand’s capital city looked vacant throughout the day.

Physicians and teachers loyal to the Teachers Association and Junior Doctors Association went off duty at RIMS, forcing the OPD to close for the day. They maintained, however, that physicians addressed indoor and emergency responsibilities such that no patients were harmed.

Teachers from the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College Hospital, physicians and medical officials from Sadar Hospital, and medicos from private clinics and nursing homes marched to the deputy commissioner’s office in Jamshedpur to protest.

Physicians at Dhanbad’sShahidNirmalMahto Medical College Hospital boycotted OPD duties but treated patients in the emergency department.

According to Ajay Kumar Singh, the IMA state organiser, about 14,000 registered physicians from private clinics, nursing homes, government health facilities, and hospitals, as well as six medical colleges in the state, participated in the protest and boycotted work. He said that seven physicians were assaulted or insulted in different districts of Jharkhand in the previous two months, including Garhwa, Hazaribag, Lohardaga, and Ranchi, but that no action was taken.

Former Jharkhand health minister BhanuPratapSahi raised the topic of physicians’ protests during the day in the Assembly, saying the government should act to settle their difficulties.

Notwithstanding the fact that the administration did not respond to Sahi in the House, state Health Minister Banna Gupta informed reporters outside that the government will talk to the physicians and address their concerns. About the attack on the Ranchi surgeon, Gupta stated that he has requested the Ranchi senior superintendent of police to investigate.

A video of a leopard pursuing a puppy and colliding with a motorcycle went popular on social media last year. People were heard hooting at the wild animal, and one man seemed to beat it with a stone.
