Following a substantial rest of over two weeks, Jasprit Bumrah is set to make his highly anticipated return to the cricket field this Thursday, July 10. The 31-year-old fast bowler from Ahmedabad, currently holding the top spot in the ICC Test bowler rankings, will spearhead India’s bowling attack in the crucial third Test against England at Lord’s.

32-Yr Pak Actress Humaira Asghar Ali’s Decomposed Body Found In Karachi Flat

Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar Ali, 32, was tragically discovered dead in her apartment in Karachi’s upscale Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase VI on Tuesday, July 8. Her body was found by police in a state of decomposition.

Police officials believe Humaira may have passed away nearly two weeks before her body was found. The discovery was prompted by her landlord, who, unable to reach her and concerned about unpaid rent, sought a court order for eviction. The court directed the Gizri police to visit the apartment in the Ittehad Commercial area. Officers arrived around 3:15 PM and, receiving no response from within, broke into the locked flat, from which a foul odor was emanating.

South Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Asad Raza confirmed in a statement to Pakistani news portal Images, “The apartment was locked from the inside, including the balcony door.” Police reported no immediate signs of foul play at the scene.

Forensic experts from the Crime Scene Unit were called to gather evidence, and Humaira’s body was transported to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for further medical and legal procedures. Dr. Summaiya Syed, a police surgeon at JPMC, noted the advanced state of decomposition and stated, “The cause of death remains reserved.” An investigation is ongoing, with police awaiting the postmortem report to ascertain the exact cause of death.

Reports indicate that Humaira had been living alone in the rented apartment and had not paid rent for several months. Police are now attempting to locate her relatives using her mobile phone records.

Humaira Asghar had previously participated in ARY’s reality show Tamasha Ghar and appeared in the 2015 film Jalaibee. Her Instagram bio described her as an actress, model, theatre artist, painter, sculptor, and fitness enthusiast. She had garnered over 713,000 followers on the platform, with her last post, a series of candid photos, shared on September 30, 2024.

The actress candidly shared that she is currently battling depression and fears she might resort to extreme measures if she doesn’t secure work soon.

While speaking in an interview, Bobby Darling disclosed her direct appeal to Ekta Kapoor, reminding her of her past role in the 2005 film Kyaa Kool Hain Hum, which Kapoor produced. “Of course, Riteish (Deshmukh) ka usme bohot accha kaam tha, sabka teamwork hi hota hai. Main koi Aishwarya Rai (Bachchan) toh nahi hoon,” Bobby stated, acknowledging the collaborative nature of filmmaking.

Elaborating on the message she sent to Ekta, Bobby added, “Maine message karke bola, ‘I touch your feet. I am going through a very tough phase. I am looking for work. Please give me work. Bobby also revealed that her fear of taking such extreme steps initially led her to leave Mumbai. However, now that she is back in the city, she is openly seeking opportunities. “Kaam maang rahi hoon, kaam toh chahiye hi. Bombay mein rehke agar kaam nahi kiya toh kya kiya? Wapas bar mein dance nahi kar sakti hoon main,” she emphasized, indicating her resolve to pursue acting.
