Weekend Getaways Near Delhi: Quick Escapes from the Hustle

Lansdowne, Uttarakhand (260 km) –  Lansdowne is a quaint little village, located about 250 km from Delhi in Pauri district of Uttarakhand. This hill station is considered to be a haven for bird watchers and has beautiful colonial houses lined with pine trees on both the sides. It is the perfect getaway for hikers and weekenders from Delhi- NCR.

Jim Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand (240 km) – Famous as being the home of the Royal Bengal tiger, Jim Corbett is one of the most popular places to visit on a short trip from Delhi. Many beautiful resorts have been made around the riverside, which offer a unique experience to the travellers. Jantar Mantar in Jaipur is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered to be the largest of the five astronomical observatories built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, who is the founder of the city of Jaipur. Hawa Mahal is another unique five-storey structure with small latticed windows that resemble the crown of Lord Krishna. Built with pink sandstone, Hawa Mahal is an iconic landmark of Jaipur. There are many other sites to be seen in Jaipur that will entice you completely.
