From its humble beginnings as “Wilforia” in the heart of Wilson College to its transformation into the much-loved festival we now call OLÉ, this annual tradition has become a symbol of unity, laughter, and the bonds of friendship. Year after year, OLÉ transcends boundaries, creating memories that last a lifetime. Times Applaud is the official media partner of the event.
This year, OLÉ embraces Lashkara—the spark that completes our story. Lashkara celebrates the vibrancy that each individual brings to the world. From the golden sands of Rajasthan to the bustling streets of Mumbai, every culture and tradition adds its unique spark to the kaleidoscope of life. This theme invites us to honor diversity, creativity, and the joy of coming together.
On the 17th of January, Traditional Day and Bazaar Day will come together to celebrate heritage and innovation in one spectacular event. Traditional Day is all about connecting with our roots. Students and faculty will don colorful ethnic attire, filling the campus with the essence of diverse cultures. Cultural performances, folk music, and traditional dances will create an atmosphere of pride and nostalgia as we honor the traditions that bind us.
At the same time, Bazaar Day will add an entrepreneurial flair to the celebration. The campus will transform into a lively marketplace featuring creative stalls set up by students. From handmade crafts and artistic displays to unique food offerings, this day will showcase the entrepreneurial spirit and creativity of our community. Students will get the opportunity to explore their business skills, innovate, and interact with the larger audience, making it a day to remember.
Join us on the 23rd and 24th of January 2025 as we light up the stage with Lashkara and on the 17th to celebrate our roots and entrepreneurial dreams. Together, let’s embrace the spark within us and make OLÉ an unforgettable journey of unity, culture, and creativity. After all, what is a fest if not the coming together of countless dreams to create something extraordinary?
