What would be found on the earth’s other side if you keep digging through? Check out Quora answers

Users on Quora think that digging from a single point will reveal the Earth’s core, fire, stones, water, or the remains of a previous digging. However, Earth’s mantle and extreme temperatures make reaching the other side challenging…

The Quora community answers specialized queries on the social media site. Recently a question was asked on Quora: “What exists on the opposite side of the Earth if one were to dig from a single point?” Alok Rastogi, Jyoti Sahu, Narendra N Shukla, and Rajesh Mishra answered this intriguing topic on Quora.

Alok Rastogi’s Quora answer says digging leads to the Earth’s center. After crossing the centre, gravitational forces will pull you back, causing an up-and-down motion around the Earth’s core. In contrast, Narendra N Shukla posits Earth’s core fire.

Jyoti Sahu and Sonu Verma of Quora suggest stones and water may be on the other side. Rajesh Mishra suggests finding the bones of a guy who dug in the opposite direction on Earth.

As you dig deeper, the heat makes it impossible to dig from one side of Earth to the other. Humans cannot survive in Earth’s core due to its extreme temperatures. Anyone trying to reach Earth’s far side is thwarted by the heat.

Digging to the Earth’s other side is impossible. As you descend, pressure and heat rise, and the Earth’s molten mantle prevents further excavation. Additionally, fluctuating gravitational forces cause lightness near the core and heaviness elsewhere. The combination of these obstacles makes the task nearly impossible.

The 7.5-mile Kola Superdeep Borehole in northeastern Russia is the deepest human-dug hole. Although deep, this depth does not shatter the Earth’s shallow continental crust.

Conclusion

Quora users revealed the Earth’s opposing side if dug from one point. Some say digging leads to the Earth’s center, while others say fire is there. Others indicate stones and water on the other side, or the remnants of a person who dug in the opposite direction. Heat, pressure, and the Earth’s molten rock mantle make digging to the other side impossible. The task is difficult or impossible due to shifting gravitational pressures that make the core feel light and the outside heavy. The Kola Superdeep Borehole in Russia is the deepest human-drowned hole.
