John Abraham, who has been a part of the film industry for over two decades, recently shared a humorous anecdote from the muhurat of his first film, Aetbaar. Despite being the lead actor, he was hilariously denied entry at the venue simply because he arrived on a motorcycle.
Reminiscing about the incident, John said, “When I went for my first muhurat shot, I went on a motorcycle. The film was Aetbaar. Hrithik Roshan and Amitabh Bachchan were clapping the board for me. Hrithik and I were classmates, he is a sweetheart. I was not allowed in, because I was on a motorcycle. The gates were shut and they asked me, ‘Kaun ho?’ (Who are you?). I said, ‘The muhurat is for my film’ and they finally allowed me. As soon as they opened the gates, Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan were gesturing at me and saying, ‘Come in’.”
The memory serves as a reminder of John’s humble beginnings before he became one of Bollywood’s most successful action stars. From being unrecognized at his own muhurat to leading big-budget films, his journey has been nothing short of inspiring.
Currently, John Abraham is making waves with The Diplomat, a political thriller directed by Shivam Nair and written by Ritesh Shah. Starring alongside Sadia Khateeb, the film delves into India–Pakistan relations, blending themes of diplomacy with intense personal conflicts.
