Shah Rukh Khan starrer Kal Ho Naa Ho which released in 2003 is one of the most beautiful movies of SRK in which he has teamed up with the gorgeous actress Preity Zinta and actor Saif Ali Khan. The movie was directed by Nikhil Advani and it was produced by Karan Johar. But do you know that the role of Naina Catherine Kapur which was played by Preity was first offered to Kareena Kapoor Khan?
In an old video clip from an episode of Koffee with Karan, Kareena is seen talking about losing out the role and KJo’s friendship when she refused to do the movie. Karan asked Kareena about the thought process when she rejected the movie and in response, Kareena stated, “I guess it was greed or I don’t know what it is, but definitely something that was wrong. But (what I) really was upset about was that I did wrong to you by not taking your call. I lost a friendship for more than a year and a half with you. That was it. I don’t care about the role. I don’t care about the film.”
KJo also asked Kareena if she felt that she could have done better than Preity and she replied with, “She was wonderful in the film but I think the credit goes to you and of course the director Nikhil, that completely changed her overnight.”

The online users were not happy with the response given by Kareena and they slammed her mercilessly as one user wrote, “‘You changed her completely overnight.’ Excuse Me ? Preity was an established actress long before you were even launched by your home buddies with your childhood friend. This is how the art can be differentiated. Just by doing loud and ‘posh’ role she thought she (at the time of interview) was qualified even to give such statements. It’s just sheer arrogance that is supported and encouraged by these groupism circles. Also look at the Karan mentality, not countering her argument in that. Shameless both of them.”
Another online user wrote, “Wait wait wait….completely changed overnight Preity?! Hold on…before KHNH, she had already established herself as a wonderful actor already! Kareena was never a good choice for this character! As for example, her overacting was perfect for Jab We Met, Preity would not have fit there!”
