Will Netflix Remove Urvashi Rautela’s Scenes From Daaku Maharaaj’s Digital Version?

Following its thunderous success in theatres, Daaku Maharaaj, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, is now set for its much-anticipated digital debut. The action-packed entertainer, which hit cinemas on January 12, 2025, will soon be available for streaming on Netflix. However, fresh reports indicate that the OTT version may undergo changes, particularly with the possible removal of actress Urvashi Rautela’s scenes.

According to reports, Netflix has allegedly edited out portions featuring Urvashi ahead of the film’s streaming release. While no official confirmation has been provided, speculation intensified after the platform’s promotional material conspicuously omitted the actress, despite featuring the rest of the lead cast. Whether her scenes will remain intact or be removed altogether will only be revealed when Daaku Maharaaj premieres on February 21, 2025.

The film, directed by Bobby Kolli, showcases Nandamuri Balakrishna in a powerful role as an officer who transforms into the fearless Daaku Maharaaj, taking on an oppressive and influential family to bring justice to the people. Alongside Balakrishna, the film boasts an ensemble cast, including Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, Rishi, Chandini Chowdary, Urvashi Rautela, and Pradeep Rawat. Thaman’s electrifying music, coupled with cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by Ruben and Niranjan Devaramane, adds to the film’s mass appeal.

Released during the Sankranthi 2025 festival, Daaku Maharaaj dominated the box office, receiving widespread acclaim from both critics and audiences. Balakrishna’s commanding screen presence and the film’s gripping narrative played a significant role in its blockbuster status.

Meanwhile, the veteran star is already preparing for his next big project, Akhanda 2, directed by Boyapati Srinu. As a sequel to the 2021 hit Akhanda, the upcoming film has generated immense excitement among fans eager to witness Balakrishna in yet another high-octane action thriller.

As the controversy surrounding Daaku Maharaaj’s OTT version continues to swirl, fans remain eager to see whether Urvashi Rautela’s scenes will indeed be excluded or if the reports are merely rumors. With the digital premiere just around the corner, all eyes are on Netflix for the final word.
