It is reportedly the first gadget to come with Qualcomm’s flagship chipset. The Xiaomi 16 might feature a triple rear camera configuration with three 50-megapixel sensors. It is anticipated that the phone will have a better battery than its predecessor.

On Weibo, Tipster Digital Chat Station posted (via) purported Xiaomi 16 specifications. According to reports, it has a 6.3-inch flat OLED screen. All four sides of the screen are rumored to have minimal bezels. With Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3.0 interface, the phone can come pre-installed with Android 16. The company’s HyperOS 2.0 Android skin powers the previous Xiaomi 15.
The forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 CPU from Qualcomm is anticipated to power the Xiaomi 16. The Xiaomi 16 series is anticipated to be the first to ship with this chipset, which the chipmaker will unveil at the Snapdragon Summit in late September.
According to reports, the phone features a triple rear camera unit that includes a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor with macro capabilities, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 50-megapixel 1/1.3-inch primary camera. The camera configuration of the current Xiaomi 15 model is comparable.

The Xiaomi 16 series is expected to debut in China in late September or early October, according to rumors. A few months later, in the early part of next year, the phone is expected to be released globally.
Alongside the Xiaomi 15 Pro, the Xiaomi 15 was released in China in October of last year. With an initial price tag of Rs. 64,999 for the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage configuration, the phone debuted in the Indian market in March 2025.
