Yami Gautam’s ‘Article 370’ Delivers Big: Movie’s India Collection Nears ₹30 Crore by Day 5

Day 5 box office earnings for Article 370: On its opening Tuesday in India, the movie brought in over ₹3 crore. Yami Gautam, Priyamani, and Arun Govil are the stars of Article 370.

Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, the movie debuted on February 23 in theatres all around the world. Since its publication, Article 370 has reportedly made close to ₹30 crore in India, according to Sacnilk.com. The primary part in the political-action drama is played by Yami Gautam.

On the first day of its release, the movie brought in ₹5.9 crore, followed by ₹7.4 crore on the second, ₹9.6 crore on the third, and ₹3.25 crore on the fourth. According to preliminary estimates, Article 370 made an additional ₹3.25 crore net in India on its fifth day (the first Tuesday). In India, the movie has brought in ₹29.40 crore thus far. Producers Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar are behind the film.

Zooni Haksar, an intelligence officer, is portrayed by Yami. The entire movie is set against the picturesque backdrop of Jammu & Kashmir, and it is based on the historic repeal of Article 370, which gave the former state specific constitutional rights. The movie’s teaser showed extremists trying to take over the city and the rise of terrorism in the area.
