Additionally, YouTube has simplified the process for producers to monetize their videos on its systems. Less lax than before, the monetization rules have changed. Prior to this change, channels had to have at least 1,000 subscribers and either 4,000 watch hours or 10 million Shorts views in the previous 90 days. Three recent public uploads with either 3,000 watch hours in the previous year or 3 million Shorts views in the most recent 90 days are now required.
