Comedy lovers will be pleased to hear that well-known stand-up comedian Zakir Khan will be filling the TV spot left available following the conclusion of The Kapil Sharma Show last year. There was a void in TV humour when Kapil Sharma moved to a streaming site in 2024 with The Great Indian Kapil Show. Actor Huma Qureshi was a regular visitor on the television program Madness Machayenge-India Ko Hassayenge, which was broadcast to temporarily fill this void. The Hindustan Times reports that Zakir Khan, who has a large following, will combine humour and poetry in his upcoming concert. With this TV program, which is scheduled to premiere in August, Zakir hopes to reach a wider audience. Bollywood guests will also be featured on the broadcast.
“Zakir’s show will have a mix of shayari and comedy, which is typical Zakir style,” an insider close to the situation informed. With this program, the comedian hopes to reach a larger audience. He has already developed a following of people who identify with his shayarana side. Madness Machayenge is now airing and is most likely coming to an end. Zakir’s television program is scheduled to premiere in August. Bollywood visitors will appear on the show in addition to Zakir’s shayari and comedy, much as it used to happen on Kapil’s show. Zakir Khan made his TV debut in 2017 as a mentor on the fifth season of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. This is his second appearance on the show. He was a comedy show host as well.
With rumours of low viewers, filming for Kapil’s OTT show recently concluded. The actors of Heeramandi, Ed Sheeran, Rajkummar Rao, and Janhvi Kapoor are among the guests that the team has said will be attending, but they have refuted this. Karan Johar, however, criticised Madness Machayenge, the TV show that took Kapil’s position, for being too similar. Zakir’s show’s guest list is currently being finalised.
Archana Puran Singh recently shared a video on Instagram to parody those stories. The video is an OTT platform collection of every moment the cast had while filming the show this season. “Yeh laughter kabhi nahi hoga kam, kyunki there are more episodes to come,” was her caption.
For Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show, Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover reconciled after a contentious six-year feud. The recent episode featuring Aamir Khan impressed audiences with their relationship.
