Zim Head Coach Feels Fortunate To Have Sikandar Raza, Thinks He Will Be A Game Changer

The Indian cricket team headed by Shubman Gill will be playing 5-match T20I series against Zimbabwe from tomorrow and the head coach of Zimbabwe, Justin Sammons is quite excited but he also believes that a lot will depend on the skipper Sikandar Raza who has a huge experience of playing in T20 leagues.

Justin said in an interaction, “I think we’re very fortunate to have a player like Sikandar Raza leading the side. He brings great experience, We want him to lead from the front. He’s been superb in the changing room and taking the players under his wing. We want his bat to do the talking as well as his bowling.”

The senior Indian cricketers – Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja have already retired from T20 format and those who played in the T20 World Cup 2024 has been rested for this tour but still three players from the T20 World Cup 2024 squad – Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube and Yashasvi Jaiswal will be available from the third T20I.

Justin further stated, “This is an opportunity for this team to do that and to showcase their skills against the best and obviously to get an understanding of where they’re at.”

He also made it clear that he has no interest in thinking about the past, he just wants to think about the future, “I don’t want to dwell on what’s happened in the past, but what I want to do is obviously focus on the future. We’ve created a clear vision in terms of where this team wants to go within the next two or three years…!!

Which team do you think will win the series?
