The food delivery app company, Zomato is known for its amazing marketing and promotions style and recently it shocked many especially the students of IIT-Delhi as it announced that it will be coming for placements for the purpose of recruiting an Algorithms Engineer who will be paid Rs. 1.6 crore as salary.
However, Zomato once again shocked everyone by retracting the offer as it refused to come for placements. Recently, a research intern at IIT-Delhi took to X and posted the screenshot of the college notice with the caption, “Zomato came to the campus, offered 1.6 cr salary, got the hype, and left.”
Soon online users started reacting and many even called it a marketing gimmick by Zomato, however some are of the opinion that it was in a very bad taste if it was a marketing gimmick by the company.
