20 Women Gang-Raped In Rajasthan On The Pretext Of Anganwadi Job, Case Filed

In a horrific incident, 20 women were allegedly sexually exploited and gang-raped on the pretext of getting job in Anganwadi in Rajasthan.

As per the reports, allegations of gang-rape have been leveled against Mahendra Mevada, the chairperson of the Sirohi Municipal Council in Rajasthan and the former municipal council Commissioner, Mahendra Choudhary and a case has also been filed against both of them.

The incident came into public notice after a woman from Pali approached the police and claimed that Mevada and Choudhary lured her and other 20 women with jobs in Anganwadi and exploited them sexually. She revealed that they recorded the act as well and then they blackmailed each woman and demanded Rs. 5 lakh. The woman said that the accused threatened the women that if they didn’t pay them Rs. 5 lakh, then they will release videos on social media platforms.

The Pali woman told police that she visited Sirohi along with other women to meet the accused some months back for getting job in Anganwadi. She said that the accommodation and food was arranged by the accused and she alleged that the accused exploited them after they ate food mixed with sedatives. She claimed that she confronted the accused on getting conscious and he admitted that he has cheated them.

Though a case was not registered initially as Paras Choudhary, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, claimed that the women filed a false case, the Rajasthan High Court ordered to file a case after eight women filed a petition.

Hopefully, the truth will come out soon.
