Celebrate Bakrid with these delightful traditional dishes! Explore flavors, recipes & cultural significance of Biryani, Kebabs & more!

Bakriid, also known as Eid al-Adha, is a revered festival for Muslims worldwide. It commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering devotion to the One Almighty God, who has created us all. The festival also signifies the culmination of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

Celebrated on June 17th, 2024 this year, Bakrid is a joyous occasion marked by feasting, prayer, and sharing blessings with loved ones. Food plays a central role in these festivities, bringing families and communities together over traditional culinary delights.

Let’s embark on a delectable adventure as we explore 5 must-have Bakrid dishes to tantalize your taste buds, enjoy the Eid festival, and thank the Creator, whom the Muslims call Allah, Hindus know as Eishwar and the Christians call God.

1. Biryani: The Fragrant King of Bakrid Feasts

Biryani reigns supreme on the Bakrid table, a majestic one-pot meal bursting with flavor and aroma. Fragrant basmati rice forms the base, intricately layered with succulent pieces of meat, typically lamb or goat. A symphony of spices like cumin, coriander, cardamom, and the precious saffron weave their magic, infusing the dish with an unforgettable depth of flavor. The meat is marinated for hours in a luxurious yogurt and spice blend, ensuring melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. Biryani is often presented alongside raita, a refreshing yogurt-based side dish, and salan, a vibrant gravy bursting with the tang of tomatoes and onions. This culinary masterpiece is a labor of love, traditionally prepared in abundance to be shared with family, friends, and neighbors, fostering a spirit of togetherness during Bakrid.

2. Kebabs: Skewered Delights for Every Palate

Bakrid celebrations are incomplete without the sizzling allure of kebabs. These succulent morsels of marinated meat, cooked to perfection on skewers over a bed of glowing charcoal, are a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Seekh kebabs, crafted with delicately minced meat seasoned with ginger, garlic, and a touch of chili powder, are a popular choice. For those seeking a textural variation, shami kebabs offer a delightful combination of minced meat and lentils. Boti kebabs, featuring chunks of marinated meat, cater to those who enjoy a heartier bite. Chicken tikka, prepared with boneless chicken marinated and cooked in a tandoor oven, offers a delightful poultry alternative. Typically served alongside fluffy naan or parathas, kebabs can be enjoyed as a delightful appetizer or a satisfying main course, adding a touch of fiery charm to your Bakrid feast.

3. Haleem: A Slow-Cooked Symphony of Flavors

Haleem, a slow-cooked wonder, is a must-have for Bakrid celebrations. This hearty dish features a symphony of lentils and meat simmered for hours with a diverse array of spices, resulting in a thick and flavorful stew. The creamy texture of haleem is a delightful contrast to the burst of savory richness from the meat. It’s often adorned with a crown of fried onions, fragrant coriander leaves, and a refreshing squeeze of lime juice, adding vibrant layers of taste and aroma. Haleem is not only a culinary delight but also a powerhouse of nutrition, making it a perfect choice for Eid festivities.

4. Sheer Khurma: A Sweet Ending to a Festive Feast

No Bakrid celebration is complete without a sweet note, and sheer khurma is the undisputed champion of Eid desserts. This traditional sweet dish is a delightful symphony of textures and flavors. Vermicelli noodles, delicately cooked in creamy milk and sugar, are infused with the warmth of cardamom and saffron. The rich dessert is then adorned with a treasure trove of toppings, including an assortment of nuts like almonds, pistachios, and cashews, along with a medley of dried fruits like dates and raisins. Sheer khurma is a decadent and indulgent treat, often enjoyed as a celebratory breakfast on Eid morning or as a sweet conclusion to the festive meal.

5. Nihari: A Rich and Aromatic Stew Steeped in History

Nihari, a slow-cooked masterpiece from North Indian and Pakistani cuisine, adds a touch of historical grandeur to your Bakrid table. This flavorful stew features tender pieces of meat, usually beef or lamb, simmered for hours in a rich and aromatic gravy. The base of the gravy is meticulously crafted with onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, and a secret blend of spices, creating a symphony of savory notes. The name “nihari” itself originates from the Urdu word for “morning,” reflecting its traditional role as a breakfast dish for Mughal rulers. Nihari is typically served with naan or roti, offering a comforting and flavorful experience that perfectly complements the celebratory spirit of Bakrid.

Beyond the Recipes: Embracing the Spirit of Bakrid

While the dishes discussed above are central to Bakrid celebrations, the true essence of the festival lies in its spiritual core. It’s a time for المسلمين (Muslims) to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering faith and devotion to Allah (God). It’s also an occasion to practice charity, share blessings with the less fortunate, and strengthen the bonds of community.

Whether you’re preparing a traditional feast or enjoying a simpler celebration, remember that the spirit of Bakrid lies in giving thanks, fostering connections, and finding joy in the company of loved ones. So, embrace the spirit of Eid al-Adha, savor the delectable dishes, and create a Bakrid celebration that is both meaningful and delicious.

Conclusion

Bakrid is a joyous occasion that transcends religious boundaries, bringing together communities in a spirit of love, delicious food, and gratitude to the One Almighty God, Creator of all. The dishes explored above – biryani, kebabs, haleem, sheer khurma, and nihari – are just a taste of the culinary tapestry woven during Bakrid celebrations.

Each dish offers a unique blend of flavors, textures, and cultural significance. From the majestic biryani to the melt-in-your-mouth kebabs, the hearty haleem to the decadent sheer khurma, and the historically rich nihari, these dishes come together to create a vibrant and unforgettable Bakrid feast.

So, this Eid al-Adha, embark on a delicious adventure with your loved ones, savor these traditional culinary delights, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Cocktail Facial: Is this luxurious beauty treatment really good for your skin?

0

Ever wished your skincare routine could be as exciting as that poolside margarita? Well, with a cocktail facial, it kind of can be! This luxurious treatment ditches the tequila for a potent blend of customized ingredients designed to address your specific skin woes.

What’s the Buzz?

Think of a cocktail facial as a bespoke symphony for your face. A skilled esthetician will chat with you about your skin’s current drama – dryness, wrinkles, uneven tone – and then whip up a concoction to tackle them head-on. The treatment starts with a deep cleanse and exfoliation, prepping your skin to soak up the good stuff.

This “good stuff” can be a whole celebrity entourage of ingredients. Hyaluronic acid, the secret weapon behind J.Lo’s ever-youthful glow, acts like a tiny moisture sponge, leaving your skin plump and dewy. Powerful antioxidants fight free radicals, those pesky culprits behind wrinkles, while peptides stimulate collagen production for a firmer, more youthful appearance.

The Benefits: Your Skin Will Thank You

Here’s where the magic truly unfolds:

  • Hydration Hero: Dry skin doesn’t stand a chance against a cocktail facial. Hyaluronic acid and other moisturizing ingredients deeply hydrate, leaving your skin feeling soft and supple – no more tight, uncomfortable feeling!
  • Turning Back Time: Remember that recent article about celebrities and anti-aging treatments? A cocktail facial can be your secret weapon! Antioxidants and peptides work together to minimize fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots, giving you a smoother, more youthful appearance.
  • Brightening Up Your Day (and Skin!): Uneven skin tone or dark spots bringing you down? Cocktail facials often incorporate brightening agents like vitamin C, which target hyperpigmentation and give you a more radiant, even-toned complexion.
  • Healing Power: This treatment goes beyond aesthetics. Growth factors and peptides promote cell regeneration, which can actually help heal acne scars, sun damage, or other skin injuries.
  • Truly Tailored: Unlike a one-size-fits-all approach, the beauty of a cocktail facial lies in its customization. Whether you’re battling dryness, breakouts, or sensitivity, the ingredients are chosen specifically for your unique needs.

The Verdict: A Luxurious Investment

Cocktail facials offer a holistic approach to skincare, addressing multiple concerns in one luxurious session. While they might not be an everyday indulgence, they’re a fantastic way to pamper yourself and see noticeable results. So, if you’re looking for a way to achieve a more radiant, revitalized you, a cocktail facial might just be the perfect ticket to glowing skin!

Boeing advised airlines to evaluate their B737 Max fleet after one international operator found a bolt with a missing nut during normal maintenance. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is closely monitoring Boeing 737 Max “targetted inspection” for a loose rudder control system bolt.

Boeing advised airlines to evaluate their B737 Max fleet after one international operator found a bolt with a missing nut during normal maintenance. Boeing stated on Friday that the airplane’s issue was resolved. Indian airlines Akasa Air, SpiceJet, and Air India Express operate B737 Max planes.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said it was closely monitoring “targetted inspection,” of Boeing 737 Max planes for a possible loose bolt in the rudder control system on Thursday. “The airplane’s issue was fixed. As a precaution, we encourage operators inspect their 737 MAX planes and report any discoveries “Boeing said.

The aircraft manufacturer alerted the FAA and would update it. SpiceJet and Air India Express did not respond to queries, while Akasa Air said the issue had not affected its operating fleet or aircraft deliveries. Boeing informed us of this issue.

Like all operators worldwide, Akasa will follow the manufacturer or regulator’s checks and procedures in compliance with our highest safety standards “Akasa Air’s spokeswoman stated on Saturday. The airline noted, “our operating fleet and deliveries are not impacted so far.”

The FAA stated Thursday that Boeing has issued a Multi-Operator Message (MOM) advising operators of modern single-aisle airplanes to check rudder tie rods for loose hardware in consultation with it. The FAA said it will communicate with Boeing and airlines during inspections.

Agnikul Cosmos: Meet the IIT Madras grads whose startup is revolutionizing space travel with low-cost 3D rockets

Using 3D technology, Chennai company Agnikul Cosmos is creating low-cost rockets for commercial space missions. Rockets may be made in three days for 6-7 times less than traditional ones.

Chennai-based Agnikul Cosmos makes low-cost 3D rockets for commercial space missions. The startup builds rockets 6–7 times cheaper and faster than conventional ones.

Chennai-based Agnikul Cosmos produces low-cost 3D rockets for commercial space missions. They build, test, and launch micro and nanosatellite orbital rockets.

Srinath Ravichandran and Moin SPM, IIT Madras alumni, developed the firm to rethink satellite space flight.

Since 2017, they have opened India’s first 3D-printed rocket factory, inaugurated the company’s first private launchpad, and conducted the flying acceptance test of their 3D-printed rocket engine.

Their rocket engines are single-component 3D-printed, making them unique. Joining, welding, and other rocket manufacturing techniques are absent.

“Conventionally making a rocket engine takes six months. With 3D technology, we could create a rocket engine in three days, adds Moin. Agnikul’s rockets are 6–7 times cheaper than traditional rockets.

Several industries will use space as a platform. Opening space yields data. Today, data is the next big thing. With data, you can make smarter decisions, adds Moin.

“Insurance companies are using space data to make loan decisions. Imagine this on a smartphone. A farmer can see his yield likelihood. They can then make informed selections. This will help children understand weather and other elements. That’s the goal, he says.

Arijit Singh Now Charges ₹2 Crore Per Show, Monty Sharma Recalls His Early Days

0

At one time, Arijit Singh had not gained recognition. In those days, he used to wait for hours in the office of music director Monty Sharma. Currently, he sings in practically every movie in the Hindi film industry, earning as much as Rs 2 crore per performance. Monty Sharma gave an interview recently about the disparity between pay for singers and composers. In the modern world, and also in the past, the revenue when a song is fully produced is about Rs 2 lakh.

Monty Sharma shared, “Everything has evolved over some time.” He explained, “In the past, we used to get a complete song done for Rs 2 lakh. This was inclusive of an entire orchestra which had 40 violins among a lot of other things. Eventually, when I created a brand name for myself after a couple of my works did well, I began to get Rs 35,000 per song irrespective of the other expenses included to make a song.”

Monty remarked, “Your brand decides your worth.” Explaining his theory, Sharma claimed, “There was a time when Arijit Singh used to come sit beside me for hours on end without any break to eat. He charges Rs 2 crore per performance now. People have to pay him Rs 2 crore if they want him to perform for them.”

He suggested that the social media platforms have increased revenue compared to the past when only radios and televisions served as means of communication.

“Audio rights were sold for crores even then, but people heard those songs only through radio and television,” shared Sharma.

He went on to say, “Now, with the rise of social media, the reach is greater, and the income is on another level. Composers now make ridiculous amounts of money. A composer might charge Rs 20 lakh per song, but in turn, he is giving away 90% of the song rights to the audio company.” In his words, it is only the audio companies that profit significantly from the situation at hand. “They are making mad money. It is because there are so many aspects to it, such as Spotify and YouTube. Imagine the kind of revenue they are generating.”

A black composer stated that although technology and other aspects of the music industry have advanced, the earning potential for a composer is still very low. The only realization of profit emerges from the singers. As the face and voice of the song, each of these emerging singers charge between Rs 1 and Rs 2 crore.

In Monty’s view, thanks to reality shows, artists now have other options to earn revenue apart from royalties.

He said, “In my days, during my reality show ‘Voice of India’, I was getting Rs 7.5 lakh a day. These days, it’s endless. There’s a lot of money now. Reality shows pay a lot to mentors. Shows pay a lot to singers too, a lot of money.”

In all these claims, Monty also acknowledged that most do not have the good fortune to get that type of exposure. There is a lot of luck involved in getting that exposure. “People do not understand their efforts. Producers ko samajh hi nahi aata unka kaam.”

Kuldeep Yadav Should Play at The Oval, Says Parthiv Patel Ahead of 5th Test

0

Parthiv Patel, a former wicketkeeper-batter, thinks India should consider including Kuldeep Yadav in their bowling lineup for Thursday’s fifth Test match against England at The Oval.

Former Team India cricketer Parthiv Patel believes the team should try to add Kuldeep Yadav to the mix before the fifth Test match against England.

India will want a wicket-taking bowler like Kuldeep if lead pacer Jasprit Bumrah is unable to play in the fifth Test, Patel stated on JioHotstar.

“India should approach selection the way they’ve approached their batting — with confidence. If Bumrah isn’t available, India will need another attacking bowler. In this current bowling mix, Kuldeep Yadav offers that attacking edge as a wicket-taker,” he said.

“So, from that perspective, I believe India should find a way to include him. Whether it happens or not, I’m not sure — but my opinion is that Kuldeep Yadav should play,” Patel added.

The BCCI’s medical experts advised Bumrah not to play in consecutive Test matches due to his workload; therefore, he might not play in the last Test match.

Regarding Bumrah’s workload management, the former cricket player believes that the support staff ought to assist him in getting better as soon as possible.

“It was announced at the press conference that he would play only three Tests, so there are a lot of factors to consider — recovery, fitness, workload. But I would personally want to see him play the final one. Hopefully, the support staff travelling with the team can help him recover in time,” he said.

Mohammed Siraj will be India’s top pacer while he is away. The Hyderabad-born player has bowled 139 overs and is the only pacer to have participated in all four Test matches thus far.

Patel also praised Siraj, stating that his smile is admirable regardless of the circumstances of the contest.

“We tend to take Mohammed Siraj for granted. The effort he puts in, the intensity, and the smile he wears — no matter the match situation — that’s commendable. As for Bumrah, we’re all aware of how carefully his workload is being managed,” said the 40-year-old.

Team India has prepared to face the ‘Three Lions’ in the fifth Test, which will begin at The Oval on July 31, following their draw in the fourth Test match.

Can You Nail the 90-Second Dead Hang? Samantha Ruth Prabhu Makes It Look Effortless

0

Samantha Ruth Prabhu has consistently demonstrated remarkable levels of fitness. In addition to offering advice and inspirational videos to encourage her fans to pursue their well-being, the actor is well-known for looking after her own physical and mental health.

Samantha and her trainers, Pavneet Chhabra and Paridhi Joshi, took on the 90-second dead hang challenge in a post published on July 28. Sharing the clip, she wrote, “It’s not about how you look. Not about genetics. Not about muscle mass or flexed selfies. It’s about how strong you are when no one’s watching.”

The 90-second dead hang challenge by Samantha Ruth Prabhu

Samantha performed a dead hang for one minute and thirty seconds in the film, and a video of Canadian-American doctor Peter Attia discussing the value of hangs for enhancing grip strength for longevity was also superimposed.

Peter explains, “A male between the ages of 40 and 50 should be able to dead hang for 2 minutes. A female should be able to do this for 90 seconds. Another metric for males in this age group is the ability to carry 50% of their body weight in each hand for a minute. For example, if someone weighs 90 kilos, they should be able to hold 45 kilos in each hand and walk for a minute. For females, this should be three-quarters of their body weight for the same duration.”

Why does grip strength matter?

However, does a dead hang or the ability to lift that much indicate anything? Peter claims that this is a fantastic sign of balance, coordination, and upper-body strength.

He emphasised that while walking with that much weight is not insignificant, there is a substantial link between grip strength and health.

The doctor claims that those with the strongest grips are 70% less likely than those with the weakest grips to acquire and pass away from dementia. “Grip strength is not just about grip strength; it serves as a proxy for total body strength and muscle mass. When someone thinks they can buy a grip strengthener and use it at their desk all day, they miss the point. Developing such impressive grip strength requires lifting and carrying weighty objects,” he added.

Pixel 10 Could Feature Built-In Qi2 Magnets, Suggests New Charging Puck Leak

0

According to a previously leaked render, the Google Pixel 10 is anticipated to feature Qi2 wireless charging and may come with built-in magnets for the purpose. Notably, prior sources provided contradictory details regarding the Pixel 10’s potential Qi2-compatible magnets. However, this most recent rumour, which surfaced before the August 20 launch, strengthens the case that Pixel 10 phones would come with integrated magnets for Qi2 wireless charging. According to reports, Google’s upcoming wireless charging devices will be dubbed “Pixelsnap.”

May See Google Pixel 10 With Built-in Qi2 Magnets

The Google Pixel 10 is seen in an Indigo tint with a charging puck fixed directly to the rear in a leaked render that tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) posted. When the phone is not covered, the antenna lines and the rear camera bulge are visible. One of Google’s speculated Pixel Snap accessories is anticipated to be the charging puck. Despite lacking any prominent branding, it is a larger version of the Pixel Watch 3 charger.

Google is reportedly developing a Pixelsnap Charger, a Pixelsnap Charger with Stand, and a Pixelsnap Ring Stand, according to a prior report. These are anticipated to be magnetic attachments with a Qi 2-backed design that work with smartphones in the Pixel 10 series. Interestingly, the Qi wireless charging protocol is supported by the current Pixel 9 model.

The informant above also leaked an official-looking render of the Pixel 10 Pro protective case. The official case of the current Pixel 9 Pro has the same design.

The Google Pixel 10 is anticipated to have a 6.3-inch AMOLED display and a Tensor G5 SoC. A 48-megapixel triple rear camera unit with a new telephoto shooter is reportedly available.

The same chipset is anticipated to be used by the Pixel 10 series’ Pro and Pro XL models. A larger 6.8-inch Super Actua display might be added to the latter. They have 48-megapixel ultrawide cameras and 50-megapixel triple rear camera systems.

Jennifer Mistry Alleges Asit Kumarr Modi Invited Her for Drinks, Tried to Kiss Her

0

Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who played a role in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been open regarding the controversies that surrounded her time in the show. She has shocked people once again by alleging that the show’s producer Asit Kumarr Modi sexually harassed her. As an actress, her performances as a ‘Roshan Sodhi’ remains unforgettable and recently she has been talking about some distressing incidents of unwanted advances, rude comments, and a toxic environment in the workplace which she claims has normalised continuous harassment.

While talking in one of the interviews, she tells of one the most uncomfortable moments, the one that happened in 2018 when Jennifer disagreed with Sohail Ramani. Asit Modi was alleged to have verbally assaulted Jennifer by claiming that she was sexy and harassed her in an alleged phone conversation. Bansiwal states that she was angered by the comments and goes on to recall “Asit ji ke pass gayi unse baat karne toh… ‘Sexy lag rahi ho’ (I went to Asit ji to talk about something related to Sohail, but he left everything aside and said ‘You’re looking sexy’).”

In one of the retold incidents Bansiwal said, “In 2022, I had to go to Switzerland, but their visa had issues because these guys wouldn’t, ‘say’ that I am employed by them in writing.”

Asit said some terrible things during our call. I told him I have been working for 10 years, I’ve been crying, please. I am using the 10 lakh I have saved up for something. My only wish is to take my family to travel to Switzerland.” She claimed, “He started with, ‘What is the reason for your tears? I would embrace you if you were here, my rule is to never care about you. He said later on, “I was joking, but I’ve done this a lot to people”” – which is actually true. She remembers, “He told me, ‘Mukesh is your husband, and I wish you the best.’”

Jennifer shared how Mandar Chandwadkar (Bhide) did not offer any assistance when she tried telling him about her problems. Later, when she spoke to Gurucharan Singh about it, she told him, “I told Gurucharan (Sodhi) next because he was also close to me.” He did not have much to offer. He could not do much because he was also working. “But he said, ‘Chalo meri voti ke paas nahi rehne. (Don’t come near my wife.)” He said that in fun, which was not very helpful.

As for the rest of the cast, Jennifer has also shared how Asit Modi (the director) is scared of Munmun Dutta (Babita). “Asit is a little scared of Munmun, so he remained quiet,” she shared. “Munmun was my very good friend. So I told her too.” Dutta “scolded” Modi, claiming, “strong women’ frighten men who try to do anything they want. So she said, ‘Why do you trouble her just because she doesn’t say much. Don’t disturb her’.”

Khushboo Patani Slams Aniruddhacharya Over His Comment on Women in Live-In Relationships

0

Bollywood star Disha Patani’s older sister, Khushboo Patani, a former Indian Army officer, has openly denounced spiritual teacher Aniruddhacharya Maharaj for his divisive comments regarding women in cohabitation. The problem arose when a video of the guru’s address went viral online and received criticism for its gender-biased and disparaging tone.

An Outrage-Sparking Viral Video

Aniruddhacharya is heard saying in the widely circulated video that young men are bringing home women who are 25 years old and have, in his words, “been with multiple partners.” Perceived as an outright assault on women’s choices, the remark swiftly gained widespread attention. It sparked harsh criticism from several sources, including Khushboo Patani, who did not mince words.

Khushboo took to social media and shared a video response in which she questioned the guru’s terminology and the underlying philosophy. She claimed that if the remark had been made in front of her, she would have approached him head-on and explained why the language was improper. She also objected to the comment’s exclusive focus on women, omitting any mention of the men in these kinds of relationships.

Gender bias and double standards

Khushboo questioned the unfairness of Aniruddhacharya’s statement in her video. She brought up the fact that two consenting adults are involved in a live-in relationship, but the criticism was limited to the ladies. She called the guru and his followers contributors to the decline of society and accused him of spreading antiquated and misogynistic beliefs.

She further heightened her criticism by using strong words to characterise the spiritual leader’s followers, labelling them “anti-nationalists” and “namards,” which means cowards. She believes that it is detrimental to the fabric of society to support those who denigrate women in the name of tradition.

Aniruddhacharya Expresses Remorse

Aniruddhacharya, who some people call “Pookie Baba,” apologised after the public outrage. It didn’t, however, lessen the criticism from Khushboo and others who thought his initial remarks were incredibly insulting and backwards.

Who Is Khushboo Patani?

The hometown of Khushboo Patani is Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. She retired as a Major in 2024 after more than ten years of service in the Indian Army. She started in electronics and communication engineering before switching to personal development and health. She currently works as a spiritual adviser, meditation instructor, and fitness coach. Her strong and vocal opinions have earned her a sizable following.

Black Buck Case: Salman Khan’s Next Hearing Scheduled for Sept 22 in Rajasthan HC

Actor Salman Khan appealed his conviction in a black buck poaching case, and the Rajasthan High Court set a hearing date of September 22.

Khan’s appeal and the state government’s permission to challenge the acquittal of the co-accused—which included Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, Neelam, and a local Dushyant Singh—will be heard by Justice Manoj Kumar Garg.

On April 5, 2018, the actor was found guilty by the trial court and given a five-year prison sentence.

After Khan’s appeal was transferred from the district and sessions court to the high court, both petitions were combined and scheduled for hearings, which led to the development in the high court.

“Salman Khan’s lawyers had earlier filed a transfer petition in the high court against his sentence from the district and session court, so that the appeal filed against him could be clubbed with the appeal filed by the state government,” said prosecution’s counsel Mahipal Bishnoi.

He noted that the hearing in both appeals had been put on hold for an extended period since the transfer was delayed for technical reasons.

While filming “Hum Saath Saath Hain” in 1998, Khan was charged with hunting two blackbucks in the Jodhpur district’s Kankani hamlet.

The chief judicial magistrate’s court (Jodhpur district) jailed Khan, the principal offender, but acquitted Saif Ali Khan, Bendre, Tabu, Neelam, and Singh.

Salman Khan appealed his conviction criminally, while the state administration requested permission to appeal the acquittal of the co-accused individuals.
