Kangana Reacts On Shabana Azmi’s Tweet Over Ban On The Kerala Story

Recently released movie The Kerala Story is going very strong on the box-office but it is also facing troubles in few Indian states as some people feel that it is based on the propaganda of dividing the country and it is not the truth as being told by the makers.

The flick is directed by Sudipta Sen and stars Adah Sharma in the lead role. It tells how the non-Muslim girls from Kerala are lured, converted and then sent to Afghanistan for joining the terror group ISIS. Politics is also being played in this regard as the movie has been banned in West Bengal but Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh have made it tax-free and there are good chances that it will be made tax-free in other BJP-ruled states as well.

The film actress Shabana Azmi has slammed those who are demanding a ban of the movie as she tweeted, “Those who speak of banning #The Kerala Story are as wrong as those who wanted to ban Aamir Khan’s #Laal Singh Chaadha. Once a film has been passed by the Central Board of Film Certification nobody has the right to become an extra constitutional authority.”

The senior actress got the support of another Bollywood beauty Kangana Ranaut but the Queen actress also added one more point in her tweet. She wrote, “This is a very valid point except for the fact that no one asked for a ban on LSC people just didn’t want to see it for many reasons, major reason was it was a remake of a very popular old Hollywood classic which most people had already seen …”

Have you watched The Kerala Story or planning to watch it?
