Breaking News: Bus Fire Tragedy on Maharashtra’s Samruddhi Expressway, 26 Victims Reported

According to reports, a serious bus accident on the Nagpur-Mumbai Super-Expressway in Buldhana on Saturday resulted in at least 26 people being burned to death while they slept.

According to officials, a serious bus accident on the Nagpur-Mumbai Super-Expressway at Buldhana on Saturday resulted in at least 26 people being burned to death while they slept. Police said regarding the tragic that, many of the passengers were from Yavatmal, Wardha, and Nagpur.

According to a police officer, the incident happened at the Sindhkhedraja area at around 1.15 a.m. while the bus, which belonged to Vidarbha Travels, was travelling from Nagpur to Pune.

According to the bus driver, a tyre on the bus burst, causing it to slam into a divider and catch fire. 26 passengers died after being burned to death in the bus, while eight managed to escape.

The bus was speeding when it struck a motorway divider, a pole, and was briefly out of control before an explosion and ensuing ball of fire consumed it and trapped the passengers, according to the police.

33 persons in all, including two drivers and a cleaner, were on board the bus when the accident occurred. To date, 26 people have died as a result of the tragedy, and at least five injured people have been sent to the Buldhana public hospital for care.

Eknath Shinde, the chief minister, has expressed his sorrow over the tragedy and provided a compensation of Rs. 5 lakhs for each decedent’s relatives as well as free medical care for those who were injured.

Police are looking into the tragedy and the precise reasons for the collision, which resulted in the death of one driver and the survival of the other.
