Aamir Khan, a figure rarely seen in the sports broadcasting arena, made a notable appearance in the commentary box during the IPL 2025 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The match saw Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secure their inaugural IPL title with a victory over Punjab Kings. Khan joined former cricketer Suresh Raina and actor-politician Ravi Kishan to deliver live commentary in both Hindi and Bhojpuri, adding a unique flavor to the broadcast.
In a lighthearted exchange, Suresh Raina challenged Aamir to identify the cricketing equivalent of Bollywood’s “perfectionist.” Aamir promptly responded, “I used to call Sachin Tendulkar a perfectionist. I feel that Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah are perfectionists. What a bowler he is.” His observations resonated with those in the commentary box, and his words were met with widespread agreement as fans celebrated RCB’s long-awaited triumph.
Ravi Kishan, sharing the commentary booth with Aamir khan, took the opportunity during the broadcast to laud the actor’s upcoming film. Speaking in Bhojpuri, Kishan enthused, “Main poori India ko bolna chahta hoon, ab Sitaare Zameen Par aa raha hai. Inhone mujh jaise sitaare ko movies mein wapas laya Parliament se, aur mujh jaise desi aadmi ko Oscar tak le kar gaye.”
Well, we certainly agree with Aamir, Virat is a perfectionist!
