AB de Villiers Predicts When Virat Kohli Will Take Retirement

The Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is certainly one of the fittest cricketers of the present times but still many feel that ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is going to be his last ODI World Cup as he is going to turn 35 in November. Though it is not wrong to say that age is not on Virat’s side yet his fitness levels are pretty high and one of the biggest questions of present times is when Virat Kohli will take retirement.

Virat’s close friend and former RCB teammate AB de Villiers has shed his opinion in this regard in a video on his YouTube channel, he said, “I know he loves travelling to South Africa (for the 2027 World Cup), but it’s very difficult to say. It is a long time away. Let’s focus on this one first, I think that’s what Virat Kohli would tell you. I think if they win this World Cup, it might not be a bad time to say, ‘Thank you very much. I am maybe just going to play Test cricket for the next few years and a little bit of IPL, enjoy the last bit of my career, have enough family time, and say goodbye to everyone’.”

However, AB de Villiers also said, “But he is in incredible shape and is mentally still there. He has been rested from time to time, which I think is a great move. So, I think the hunger and the fire will still be there.”

When should Virat Kohli take retirement according to you?
