Following accusations that Srikanth and Hema were involved in a drug bust in Bengaluru, the actors refuted the allegations and provided evidence of their innocence.
The Central Crime Branch (CCB) stormed an alleged rave party at a farmhouse in Bengaluru early on Monday. Following reports that drugs had been found and confiscated on the premises, the CCB detained a number of prominent people from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka. Soon after, there were allegations circulating that Hema and Srikanth, two actors, were also at the celebration. However, the actors dispute this.
A video that was making the rounds on X (previously Twitter) showed the cops removing many partygoers. Fans questioned whether Srikanth was in the video when they noticed that one of the men was attempting to disguise his face with his t-shirt. Hema’s name was soon connected to the controversy as well; some sources claimed she was there as well.
Hema and Srikanth refute charges
Hema said she was receiving calls regarding her alleged detention from reporters and well-wishers. She claimed in a video that she was at a Hyderabadi farmhouse and not in Bengaluru for the media. “I have not gone anywhere, I am enjoying and chilling at a farmhouse in Hyderabad,” she states in the video. Kindly don’t take rumours seriously. I have no idea who is present, and the rumour that I attended the party is untrue.
In another video that was recorded at his house, Srikanth states, “I agree that the man looks like me, but I’m at home in Hyderabad.” Nobody should have blamed me if they thought he was me. I don’t have a beard at the moment, but he does. We chuckled when we learned about it because there had been rumors floating around lately that I was divorcing Ooha as well. I am not the type of person who goes to rave parties, I usually only go to birthday celebrations. I acknowledge that some may have thought the person in the video was me, but this proves it’s not me.
