Sometimes, the most exciting fashion moments happen when a well-known brand joins hands with a fresh perspective. That’s exactly what unfolded at Lakmē Fashion Week x Fashion Design Council of India, where Aditi Rao Hydari stepped into a completely new role, as Co-Creative Director for Satya Paul.
Making her debut in this creative position, Aditi didn’t just stay behind the scenes, she also walked the runway, bringing the collection to life herself. Her look reflected the core idea of the capsule line: effortless, expressive, and easy to wear. Flowing drapes paired with modern layering created outfits that felt natural and comfortable rather than overly styled.
The focus of the collection wasn’t on dramatic fashion statements but on everyday wear that still feels special. It highlighted how small details and thoughtful styling can elevate simple outfits into something meaningful and modern.
This project marked Aditi’s first serious step into fashion design, and she approached it with a strong sense of storytelling. Collaborating with the brand’s creative team, she explored how clothes can reflect a person’s identity rather than just fit a specific occasion. The result was a versatile wardrobe designed for today—pieces that can easily transition from day to night, blurring the line between casual and formal wear.
Sharing her experience, Aditi expressed that working on the collection allowed her to explore her love for art, colours, and storytelling. Her aim was to create something that feels natural, playful, and true to her personal style.
With this debut, Aditi Rao Hydari has not only expanded her creative journey but also added a fresh, relatable dimension to Satya Paul’s signature aesthetic.
