Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to miss IIFA 2023 despite Abhishek Bachchan co-hosting it with Vicky Kaushal
The International Indian Film Academy Awards are always a treat for fans and the celebs have arrived at Yas Island where the ceremony is taking place.
IIFA 2023 will be hosted by Vicky Kaushal along with Abhishek Bachchan; nevertheless, Abhishek’s wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will give a miss to the award show this year and the reason for the same is their daughter Aaradhya.
During the media interaction when Junior Bachchan was questioned why his wife Aish was not accompanying him for the event, the “Guru” star disclosed that Aishwarya would miss IIFA 2023 because of Aaradhya’s school and they both will be staying back in Mumbai only.
Recently Aishwarya graced the 76th Cannes Film Festival where Aaradhya accompanied her mother.
Talking about the IIFA 2023, Kamal Haasan will be honoured this year for “Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema”, Manish Malhotra will be felicitated for “Outstanding Achievement in Fashion in Cinema” and Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh will be felicitated for “Outstanding Achievement in Regional Cinema” but apart from awards, there will be spectacular live performances by superstar Salman Khan, Nora Fatehi, Rakul Preet Singh, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, etc.
