Last year, Alia, the brand’s first global brand ambassador from India, attended the Gucci presentation in South Korea. Alia has been having a lot of success. With her dedication, she has elevated her career graph to a global level.
Alia presented her first charity event in London in March 2024. The actress threw the “Hope Gala” to help the Salaam Bombay Foundation provide financial support for disadvantaged teenagers in India.
Numerous well-known figures were present at the occasion. Also in attendance were filmmaker Gurinder Chadha, comedian Rohan Joshi, and musician Harshdeep Kaur.
According to Alia, organising her first charity event in association with the Salaam Bombay Foundation and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has been an amazing experience. I have always appreciated Padmini Sekhsaria’s unrelenting commitment to providing opportunity and hope to young people who are at-risk in India’s slums. I’m glad I could help these kids change the way they tell their stories in even a tiny way. I’ve always been a fan of Mandarin Oriental’s superb hospitality, so hosting the Hope Gala at such an esteemed location is truly a privilege. We have only just begun, but I have no doubt that with the help of our kind donors, we will make tremendous progress in empowering the next generation.”
She was recently listed as one of Time’s 100 Most Influential people.
Tom Harper, who directed Heart of Stone and worked with Alia on her first Hollywood film, praised the actress as a “truly international star” in a magazine article.
She approaches her work with grace; she is methodical, receptive to new ideas, and not afraid to take chances. “She took the emotional thread and ran with it during an improvisation at the end of a take, and it was one of my favourite moments in the movie,” Tom wrote.
Regarding her acting career, Alia will be seen in Vasan Bala’s Jigra in the upcoming months. Karan Johar and Alia are co-producing the film. On September 27, of this year, the movie is scheduled to open in theatres.
Filming for her role as the lead in a Spy Universe movie is slated to begin later this year.
