On April 16, the iconic French fashion house Chanel named the Bollywood star its first-ever brand ambassador for India, making headlines with the announcement Ananya Panday Chanel brand ambassador. The move comes as India gains global attention as a rising hub for the luxury market.
Chanel shared its excitement about the collaboration in a statement to Business of Fashion (BoF), saying that Ananya “represents a generation with evolving tastes and fiercely independent identities, navigating the world with curiosity.” They added, “Her values align with Chanel, making her the perfect choice to represent the house.”
Ananya also shared her thoughts on the association, saying, “the essence of personal liberation, empowering one to boldly embrace their individuality with timeless elegance.”
A Long-Awaited Announcement
Speculation about Ananya Pandey collaboration with Chanel had been building since her appearance at the Chanel Spring/Summer 2025 show in Paris, where she wore an ensemble from the brand’s Cruise Collection. She was also seen attending the show with her sister, Rysa Panday.
