The romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam, starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, has made a grand return to theaters, receiving an overwhelming response from audiences. The re-release has surpassed its previous records, drawing widespread appreciation from fans and celebrities alike. Among those who extended their congratulations is John Abraham, while veteran actor Anil Kapoor also shared his excitement and best wishes for the team.
Anil Kapoor took to Instagram stories to share the film’s poster, writing, “Congratulations to @deepakmukut and the entire Sanam Teri Kasam team on its re-release! The film has already won hearts, and its success is truly well-earned. Wishing @harshvardhanrane, @mawrellous, @sohamrockstrent, @hunarmukut, and everyone involved even more milestones ahead!”
The film, which also stars Anurag Sinha, Manish Chaudhari, Murli Sharma, Vijay Raaz, Shraddha Das, and Sudesh Berry in key roles, initially earned just Rs 9 crore upon its 2016 release. However, the re-release has taken the industry by surprise, collecting Rs 30.85 crore so far, as per reports.
With earnings still climbing, the movie is now the second-highest-grossing re-release in India, trailing only last year’s Tumbbad, which amassed Rs 32 crore. Notably, Sanam Teri Kasam has also outperformed re-releases of Ghilli starring Thalapathy Vijay and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani featuring Ranbir Kapoor, further cementing its resurgence in Bollywood.
