SP Singh Baghel is the Member of Parliament from Agra Lok Sabha. Having previously served as an MLA from Tundla in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, he has now been appointed as a cabinet minister in the Yogi government of the state. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he was granted a ticket from Agra and subsequently won a seat in Parliament as a Member of Parliament.
In the 2022 assembly elections, Baghel contested against Akhilesh Yadav from Karhal assembly seat on behalf of the BJP. Despite facing a formidable opponent in the form of the SP chief, Baghel put up a strong fight. Despite his efforts, he was unsuccessful in winning the election.
