A 4-dollar cheque from Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Jobs sold for $36,850 (Rs 30,71,618). The 1976 Radio Shack cheque was auctioned by RR Auction in the US.

The Guardian said that the signed cheque was written on a “Apple Computer Company” account at a Los Altos Wells Fargo Bank branch, which has joined the Jobs signature and memorabilia market.

Last year in 2022, Jobs’ 1976 Apple Computer cheque of USD 9.18 sold for $55,000 (Rs 45,84,505). Another cheque from the same year was auctioned for $13.86 to Elmar Electronics in March for USD 37,564.

A 1973 job application for a “electronics tech or design engineer” with Jobs’ signature was auctioned for USD 174,757 (Rs 1,45,66,808) in 2018.

According to the article, a signature from 1976 on an original Apple founding contract signed by Jobs, Ronald Wayne, and Steve Wozniak sold for USD 1,594,500 (Rs 13,29,08,989) in December 2011.

Early in 2023, the first-generation seal-packed iPhone sold for $54,904 (Rs 45 lakh) at auction.

That the device cost USD 599 (Rs 49,929) when released in 2007.
