Buzz swirled recently that reality TV star Asim Riaz was ousted from the show Battleground after a reported clash with fellow judges Rubina Dilaik and Abhishek Malhan, better known as Fukra Insaan. The speculation set the internet ablaze, with many suggesting Asim was “shown the door.” Now, the model-actor has broken his silence, setting the record straight in his signature fiery style.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Asim addressed the rumors head-on without mincing his words. “Paid media ain’t got a spine, just a rate card. They print what they’re told, I move when I decide. Keep shouting ‘kicked out’, I kicked the script and flipped the game. Next headline? Make it count,” he posted, making it clear that his exit was on his own terms.
He had previously dropped a cryptic Instagram post on April 19, where he was seen holding a cigarette with the caption “SCRIPTED” and a middle finger emoji. The not-so-subtle jab seemed to target the show’s narrative and production choices.
According to a report, the drama reportedly began on April 17 during a shoot, when a minor disagreement escalated quickly. Asim allegedly made harsh remarks towards Rubina as she attempted to deescalate the situation. The tension soon brought production to a standstill, with all three judges walking off set. Behind-the-scenes talks are reportedly ongoing between Asim’s team and the show’s producers to resolve the matter.

This isn’t Asim Riaz first brush with controversy. In 2024, he made headlines after a fallout with host Rohit Shetty on Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, where he openly challenged the stunt-based show’s format after struggling with a task. He had boldly declared, “Do it in front of me. I won’t take a rupee if you succeed,” only to be shown a clip of a crew member completing the stunt.
Asim’s unfiltered persona continues to divide opinions, but one thing is certain—he’s never been one to play by the rules.
