In a recent conversation, she opened up about how the simple line grew into an online phenomenon and became a signature part of her character’s charm.
Sharing her thoughts with IANS, Shubhangi admitted that she hadn’t anticipated the immense affection that the dialogue would garner. “Honestly, it feels so special and sweet. I never thought that Angoori’s way of talking would make such a big place in people’s hearts. When I see those reels, I smile wide—sometimes I even laugh thinking about my character,” she said, reflecting on the outpouring of fan-created content inspired by the phrase.
She also shed light on the creative process behind bringing Angoori’s personality to life. While the credit for the quirky dialogues largely goes to the show’s writing team, Shubhangi revealed that she occasionally adds her personal touch to enhance the delivery. “Our writers are very talented, and they give such lovely lines,” she shares. “But yes, sometimes I add a little extra touch—like a pause, a cute expression, or a funny word. That makes it more Angoori-style. I always make sure it feels natural and sweet, just like her.”
As her character continues to be adored across generations and platforms, Shubhangi’s portrayal of Angoori Bhabhi, especially through lines like ‘Sahi Pakde Hain’, remains a standout moment in Indian television pop culture.
