The festival of Karwa Chauth was celebrated in India yesterday in a great manner by the married Hindu couples but an unusual incident also took place and a Delhi man had to call police control room.
In Karwa Chauth, the married women keep fast for the safety and long life of their husbands and they eat something only after seeing the Moon and face of their husband. While some women choose to have fruits during the fast, there are many who don’t eat anything and some don’t even drink water.
Yesterday, a man from Delhi was in a hurry to reach his house as his wife had kept the fast for him, the Moon was in the sky but he was stuck in traffic jam. The level of his frustration went so high that he made a call to police control room and said, “Chand Nikal Aaya Hai, Biwi Ko Vrat Kholna Hai, I am stuck in a traffic jam, kindly help.”
This was quite a unique call but it shows that the husband was worried for his wife and wanted her to eat something soon.
It is not known whether he got help from police or not but hopefully Delhi police will ensure that traffic goes smooth next time on Karwa Chauth.
