Deepika Padukone Reveals, ‘I’ve Never Followed a Fad Diet

Deepika Padukone is widely regarded as one of Bollywood’s most fit superstars. The Gehraiyaan actress expressed her views on leading a healthy lifestyle as she prepares to become a mother for the first time, having been pregnant with her first child with husband Ranveer Singh. She makes room in her diet for indulgence, and we don’t think this is just because she’s having a child right now. Beyond her dietary habits, Deepika has always been a leader in maintaining balance in her physical and mental health as well as her general well-being.

The actress recently shared a photo of desserts and nibbles to her Instagram account, writing, “I’m shocked to see this on my feed. Okay, I’m going to eat! I also eat healthily! Anyone who knows me will tell you. Thus, don’t trust anything else you read or hear. The secret? Three things: equilibrium, consistency, and body awareness. There appears to be a lot of miscommunication over the term “diet.” A common misconception about diets is that they require us to starve ourselves, eat less, and eat everything we dislike.

‘Diet’ refers to the total amount of food and drink consumed by an individual. Actually, the word derives from the Greek word “diaita,” which meaning “way of life.” For as long as I can remember, I have always maintained a “Balanced Diet.” It’s also “a way of life” for me. I’ve never tried a diet that is a fad or one I can’t stick to consistently. Shall I now give in? Naturally, as I’ve already shown! However, that’s definitely not how I live. Have you ever heard that saying “you are what you eat”? If there’s one thing I’ve discovered (the hard way), it’s that such statements are absolutely accurate.”

Deepika Padukone thinks that individuals shouldn’t starve themselves or deny themselves a treat once in a while. She does, however, support eating a healthy, balanced diet. She also talked about the importance of consistency and balance, whether it comes to exercise or diet. But above all, it’s crucial to pay attention to your body and provide it with the nourishment and exercise that it needs. You will have a good “diaita,” or good “way of life,” as the Greeks would say if you stick to this mantra of balance and consistency.

Deepika shares her expertise on essential life advice, achieving balance and constancy in a routine, and, most importantly, listening to one’s body to achieve holistic well-being.
