DeepSeek Gone viral and surpassed well-known international companies like ChatGPT and Google Gemini, it is now the most downloaded app on Apple iOS in India across all categories.
DeepSeek AI Assistant, a low-cost Chinese AI released last week, was ranked 102nd in downloads on January 25.
According to the data, it surpassed the widely used ChatGPT (8) and Google Gemini (13), securing the top spot on January 27 and continuing to do so on January 28.
DeepSeek was backed by entrepreneur Liang Wenfeng, who established a hedge fund in 2015 that employed machine learning to forecast the market. It was published globally on January 10 and updated on January 27.
Regarding productivity software downloaded on Apple iOS, DeepSeek jumped astronomically to the top spot, moving from 132 on January 18 to 9th on January 25 and overtaking Chat GPT on January 27.
Additionally, DeepSeek dropped to 193 on January 28 in the Android app rating list, catching up to Google Gemini (182 rank), although ChatGPT is still far ahead at 47th.
On January 28, DeepSeek rose from 133rd place to the second-most downloaded app in the US across all categories on the App Store. ChatGPT is now in 11th place, while Gemini is in 57th. On January 28, it topped the list of all apps in nations, including the UK, Australia, Singapore, and Canada. However, in most European countries, it has not achieved comparable dominance.
