Zomato joked in a tweet that a man called Shubham from Gurgaon had asked if they delivered ‘bhaang ki goli’.
While Holi is associated with spreading colours and eating sweets and delicacies, some people also like consuming bhang, a cannabis-based consumable, in various forms.
Zomato, a meal delivery company, referred to the eating of bhang during Holi in a funny tweet, prompting the Delhi Police to take note.
Someone kindly tell Shubham from Gurgaon that we don’t deliver bhaang ki goli, Zomato said on Twitter. He’s asked us 14 times now.
In a playful exchange with Zomato, Delhi Police replied quickly, adding, If anyone meets Shubham…. warn him not to drive if he eats Bhaang.
One individual commented on the fact that Shubham, my roommate, is from Gurgaon.
Many individuals order special meals at home to celebrate holidays, and delivery agents’ labour around the clock to make such families happy.
On December 31, 2022, a group of friends rang in the New Year with the Zomato delivery person who had arrived at midnight to deliver their order.
