Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal have officially ended their marriage, with their divorce being granted on mutual grounds on March 20. While the couple had previously announced their separation, they chose not to disclose the reasons behind their decision. However, recent reports indicate that a disagreement regarding their place of residence played a significant role in their split.
According to veteran entertainment journalist Vickey Lalwani, the primary reason behind their divorce was a difference in opinion about where they would settle. Following their wedding in December 2020, Dhanashree and Chahal moved to Haryana to live with Chahal’s parents. However, within just a few days, Dhanashree expressed a strong preference to relocate to Mumbai, a move that reportedly did not align with Chahal’s wishes.
Lalwani further elaborated, stating, “After tying the knot, Yuzi and Dhanashree had shifted to stay with Yuzi’s parents in Haryana and came to Mumbai only when they needed to. Yes, this Mumbai-Haryana jhagda was one of the main reasons why this much-in-the-paparazzi-world marriage ended. Yuzi was clear that he wouldn’t uproot himself from his parents’ home and surroundings.”
Despite these claims, neither Yuzvendra Chahal, Dhanashree Verma, nor their respective families have confirmed this version of events. In their official statement, the couple maintained that they had parted ways amicably and by mutual consent. While speculation continues, the real reasons behind their separation remain undisclosed to the public.
