Dhoni invests in Garuda Aerospace; will also be the drone startup’s face

Garuda Aerospace has roped in Ms Dhoni as an investor. The Indian cricket legend will also serve as a brand ambassador. for the drone-as-a-service (DaaS) startup.

Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has invested an unknown sum in Chennai-based drone startup Garuda Aerospace, becoming an investor in the company. Garuda Aerospace is a drone-as-a-service (DaaS) firm founded in 2015 by Jayaprakash.

The business designs, produces, and customizes drones for a variety of uses, including delivery, disaster management, and agricultural applications.

MS Dhoni, who has also joined the firm as a brand ambassador, said, “I’m excited to be a part of Garuda Aerospace and look forward to seeing their growth story with the unique drone solutions they have to offer.”

Agnishwar Jayaprakash, founder and CEO of Garuda Aerospace, stated, “I’ve always been an avid admirer of Mahi Bhai & to have him as a member of the Garuda Aerospace family is honestly a dream come true. Mahi Bhai is the embodiment of Dedication, and I sincerely feel that having Captain Cool on our Cap table brings significant value, motivating our staff to perform better.”

According to its website, Garuda Aerospace is working on long-term projects with numerous government organizations, including the Survey of India, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), and the Indian Oil Corporation.

Garuda Aerospace has received orders for over 8,000 drones from a variety of nations, including Malaysia, Panama, and the United Arab Emirates. Garuda has also set a goal of producing 100,000 drones in the next two years.
