Facebook hired NIT Patna student at record-breaking package not offered to IIM, IIT students

NIT Patna made headlines in 2022 for achieving a remarkable feat in the field of placements. The institute recorded a historic package of Rs 1.6 crores, which is the highest-ever package offered to a student in its placement drive that year.

In a remarkable feat, Aditi Tiwari, a final year student of Electronics and Communication, has bagged a record-breaking package. Aditi Tiwari hails from a family where her father is employed in Tata Steel and her mother serves as a teacher in a government school.

In a historic move, a package worth Rs 1.6 crore has been offered to a student, surpassing even the packages offered to students from prestigious institutions such as IITs and IIMs. Facebook has recruited her as a front-end engineer.

In 2022, NIT Patna achieved a remarkable feat by recording an overall placement rate of 110%, setting a new record. Prior to Aditi Tiwari’s record-breaking package, it is worth noting that the highest package secured by a student at NIT Patna was in the range of Rs. 50-60 lakhs.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on campus placements, with the recruitment process being notably affected for two years. Ramya R, an IIM student, has been hired by a Singapore-based company for a record-breaking package. Her salary is yet to be disclosed.

In recent news, Avni Malhotra, a student of IIM, has made headlines for being hired by Microsoft with a whopping package of Rs. 64.61 lakhs. According to a recent tweet by IIM Sambalpur, the highest salary of the year has been achieved.

According to the institute, this placement offer represents a staggering 146.7% increase in the highest salary compared to last year. Jaipur-based Malhotra has successfully landed a job after acing six rounds of interviews.

According to reports, Malhotra secured the position due to her three-year prior experience with Infosys and her demonstrated organizational competence.
