Rakhi Sawant had several noteworthy parts, one of which was Mini in the Shah Rukh Khan film Main Hoon Na. Furthermore, the film’s director, Farah Khan, has now disclosed that Rakhi’s audition consisted of her showing up in a bikini behind a burqa, as one might imagine.
In a recent interview, Farah disclosed that, before Rakhi, another artist had been cast as Mini in Main Hoon Na, but that actress had been fired because she had begun to act out. At that point, tryouts were held once more, and Rakhi entered the room donning a burqa.
Because it was “the hot girl’s role,” the assistant was cautious. But Rakhi, in her usual manner, instructed him to roll the camera. Then she removed the burqa, revealing a bikini underneath, which caused the entire camera to tremble, Farah recounted.
She continued by saying that Rakhi’s “orange hair” prevented her from being hired for the part right away. “Our concern once she arrived in Darjeeling was how to hide her. She wanted to show off as I was giving her berets and sweaters. Farah said, “I had to assure her you will look gorgeous like this as well.
Rakhi did not act out on set, the director disclosed; her sole request was to be able to stand behind or next to Shah Rukh Khan during a song. Farah stated, “She was happy with that.”
One of 2004’s biggest successes, Main Hoon Na included important performances from Sushmita Sen, Amrita Rao, Zayed Khan, and Sunil Shetty.
