Governor takes salute of parade as India celebrates Republic Day

Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha warned terrorists and their handlers that every drop of blood and every tear of innocent people would be fully accounted for. Republic Day was celebrated with pomp in various states on Thursday as part of India’s 70th Independence Day celebrations.

In several states, Republic Day was celebrated with pomp and circumstance.

Manoj Sinha, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, warned terrorists and their handlers that every drop of blood and tear of innocent people will be properly accounted for.

During Republic Day festivities in Jammu’s Maulana Azad Stadium, the Lt Governor addressed the crowd after unfurling the national flag. He stated that terrorist violence in Jammu and Kashmir is now nil as a result of the efforts and sacrifices of security personnel.

In reference to the Rajouri incident, he stated that those responsible for the murder would not be spared. He stated that our security forces killed 180 terrorists last year, and that civilian killings have decreased by 55% and security forces deaths have decreased by 58%.

Governor Anandi Ben Patel of Lucknow raised the flag at the Vidhan Bhavan, saluted the Republic Day procession, and attended the tableaux. Governor Anandiben and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recognised 72 state players.

Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, unfurled the tricolour at his house alongside CRPF jawans, family, and colleagues. Arvind Kejriwal stated that the rule of the people is the most essential element in a republic. Many independence warriors gave their lives for the formation of India’s republic. It is now our collective obligation to fortify our nation. At the major event at Uttarakhand’s Dehradun, Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh (Seni) unfurled the national flag and saluted the parade.

The tricolour was hoisted carelessly in the Kalakote locality of Rajouri, Jammu & Kashmir. The government has launched an investigation.

In Srinagar, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad activists held a demonstration at Lal Chowk with a 100-meter-long flag, and the entire area echoed with Vande Mataram and Mother India cries.

The Republic Day festivities underlined the tensions between the Telangana administration and the Raj Bhavan.

Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan promised to work for the people of the state after raising the national flag at the Raj Bhavan. The event was not attended by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

On Republic Day, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari congratulated the people and urged everyone to work together to make the state strong and developed.

Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot stated that it is the people’s responsibility to construct a developed India that would be the crown of the entire globe in the next 25 years, when the country will celebrate its 100th anniversary.

In his presentation, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan mentioned India assuming the leadership of the G-20 countries, saying that hard work and determination enabled the country emerge as a world leader.
