The micro-blogging site Twitter has undergone many changes in the recent past after it was bought by the business tycoon Elon Musk and one of the big changes is the blue tick subscription. Now every user can get a blue tick by paying $8 per month and the company has also removed the legacy blue ticks which has left many celebrities without blue ticks.
Elon Musk had also expressed his desire of reforming Twitter in such a manner that it could help content creators in earning income. He has introduced a new feature as per which content creators can activate a subscription model but while doing this, he also reveals the number of users who are paying him directly for his Subscriptions –content only.
Elon Musk shared a screenshot with the caption,
“Content creators may wish to enable subscriptions on this platform. Just tap on Monetization in settings.”
As per the screenshot, Elon Musk has 24.7K subscribers and if every person pays $5 per month for his subscription, this means that he earns around $120,000 approx. and if we convert it into the Indian currency, then it comes to little less than Rs. 1 crore per month. Elon Musk has also promised users that they will get bonus content when they subscribe him.
Here is how Twitter reacted:
