During the course of 52 days, 70 matches will be contested amongst ten teams. Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Titans, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Rajasthan Royals are the teams involved.

The first match of IPL 2023 will be played on Friday, March 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. Tickets for these games can be purchased through the Paytm Insider app. These tickets would cost between Rs 800 and Rs 4500.

Before last year, the rights to both TV and digital were held by Star Sports Network, thus you could watch the match on Hotstar but had to pay to do so. This will not happen today since the digital rights have been transferred to Viacom18, whose digital outlets include Voot, Jio TV, and Jio Cinema.

This time, spectators will be able to watch IPL on Jio Cinema for free. At the same time, fans on Jio Cinema will be able to watch IPL for free in 11 other languages, including Bhojpuri, Tamil, and Bengali. Another thing to note is that this service would be available to everyone, not only Jio subscribers. Nevertheless, Jio TV is exclusively available to Jio subscribers.
