Kareena Kapoor Khan, the Bollywood actress has worked with almost all the big directors of the industry, in fact it won’t be wrong to say that she is one of the most sought after actresses of Hindi Cinema.
However, Kareena has never worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and when she was asked about it in an interview, she revealed that she has taken a pledge that she will never work with Bhansali even if she doesn’t have any work.
In an old interview, Kareena stated that she gave a screen test for a role in Devdas and Bhansali even gave her the signing amount after selecting her but then he replaced her. She added that she was fine with it as the day she was replaced, she signed Subhash Ghai’s Yaadein but she vowed never to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in her life.
Later on, the Devdas director was asked about the statement made by Kareena, he stated that once Kareena came to his house with fashion designer Neeta Lulla and expressed her wish to work with him. Bhansali said that he told her he needed to see her potential as he hadn’t seen her work so a photoshoot was fixed. The director further said that he made it clear to Kareena’s mother Babita and sister Karisma that the photoshoot did not mean that Kareena was selected and they both had no problem with it.
As per Sanjay Leela Bhansali, he told Kareena that Aishwarya has the looks which make her perfect for the role of Paro, at that time Kareena didn’t say a word but later on she made statements against him in the media. Bhansali also added that whatever had been said about the signing amount was false.
